#WE24 is only a week away, and Jennifer Chang is getting ready to meet you at the Ford booth! This long-time Society of Women Engineers member came to Ford as a summer intern, then joined us full time as part of the Ford College Graduate developmental program, where she rotated through different engineering assignments. “All the teams I’ve been part of work arduously on complex, innovative products, but everyone also understands the need to enjoy ourselves and laugh together. That makes solving technical challenges with your colleagues even more meaningful.” Jennifer is now a program management supervisor and part of Ford’s Product Development Leadership Program. In addition to the developmental and leadership programs, she says she’s been fortunate to have several excellent mentors, too. “Ford leadership has been totally supportive of my involvement with SWE, which further enriches my career and passion,” she says. She will be hosting a session on remote working tips, “To Webcam or Not to Webcam?“ at the conference on Thursday, October 24 from 11:15 am - 12:15 p.m. local time, moderated by Ford engineer Molli A.. Can’t make it to Chicago? You can still apply at http://spr.ly/6041qbRBX #WeAreFord #SWE

"My goal is to help every technician become a Ford expert," says Jerome B., field service engineer. The Ford Philippines employee says his drive for excellence came from his mother, who taught him that “success isn’t about what you’re given, but what you make of what you have.” Even in his spare time, Jerome is still all about cars – you can find him behind the wheel in pursuit of adrenaline on various racecourses and tracks. Ford of Canada team members from across Ontario had a chance to check out the new 2025 Ford Maverick and new 2025 Ford Bronco Sport recently – and sample some themed donuts from Maverick’s Donut Company at the same time! The vehicles covered a lot of ground across the province visiting employees at the Waterloo Engineering Center, Ottawa Engineering Center, and Ford of Canada Headquarters as well as Ford Family Open House employee events at the company's manufacturing facilities in Windsor and Oakville. As the vehicles visited the various facilities, a few Ford of Canada brand management team members — Mathieu Rompré, Scott Kuzma, Tala Sadeq, and Shadab Sayeed — rotated through the employee events to provide product insight and answer questions. Stephen Tam, software development engineer, came out to the see the vehicles when they stopped at the Ottawa Engineering Center. “The bed extender for the Maverick was very nice. I thought it was cool how it locks into the tailgate locking mechanism and makes the bed size even more useful. And the donuts were delicious,” he said. “I think it’s very sleek,” said Lauren Croft, sales and marketing analyst at the Ford of Canada headquarters. “I like the updates — the Maverick looks innovative.” Want to give your career a sleek new update? It's not every day an employee gets to drive their CEO around headquarters in an F-150 Lightning, unless you're Ford content creator Autumn Black. Did Jim Farley convince her to go electric during the Employee Ride & Drive? Find out below and visit careers.ford.com for your opportunity to join the Ford team... and one day take your boss out for a spin. #WeAreFord

One of my favorite things is seeing people experience electric vehicles for the first time. The driving experience of electric vehicles is incredible and it's especially fun to see people's reaction to the instant acceleration. It's mind-blowing! Plus, being able to fill up at home and start each day with a 'full tank' is a game changer. At Ford Motor Company HQ recently, we had a "Plug In, Power Up, and Drive" event for our team members to get behind the wheel and learn more about the Ford Power Promise. It was especially fun showing Autumn Black what the F-150 Lightning can do! I think I might have even convinced her to go electric... If you're curious about electric vehicles or how one would work with your lifestyle, you can visit https://lnkd.in/eAbvjdzC to learn more.

For Martin Delonis, his new work location at Michigan Central Station in Detroit is more than just an office. It’s part of his family history. “Seventy-two years ago, my grandfather walked in here for the first time to work,” he said. “Now I get to do the same thing.” Delonis’ grandfather, Patrick Hackett, worked as a railroad attorney for 50 years and was based inside the train station from the early-1950s until the late-1970s. He was even inducted into the Michigan Transportation Hall of Honor. Delonis, who works in strategy for Ford’s Model e division, said his family text thread “blew up” in 2018 when news broke on Ford’s purchase of Michigan Central Station and its plans for a 30-acre innovation campus. He and his family have since taken tours of the renovated building, and he takes great pride in working for the company that has restored the once-dilapidated structure. “It was breathtaking for me and my family. To see the majesty of it, the scope and scale of it, it was just a bit mind-blowing.” Delonis joined Ford in 2013 and has held a variety of roles in product and customer strategy since. He currently focuses on customer adoption strategy. He says he came to Ford in part because of the thought and understanding the company puts into its products and services, as well as other initiatives it takes on, which was reflected in the restoration of an iconic Detroit landmark. “The people I’ve talked to all said it was like déjà vu,” he said “It’s not just there – it’s shined up and polished. It was incredible to see them taken back to the stories they remember from the past. It’s going to be neat to welcome another generation.” Would you like to be part of history by creating the future? This summer, 26 Ford facilities in the U.S. and Canada opened their doors to welcome the friends and families of plant team members. The Family Open House season is wrapping up, but the memories will remain for employees like Maribel Cortez, an inspector for F-150 pre-delivery at Kansas City Assembly Plant. She says that her kids love that she makes trucks and works on cars. “Every time we see a Ford car, they say 'mom made that' or 'that's mom's company.’ It's great that we get to bring the kids in to see what we do.” Would you like a career that your kids get excited about?
