It’s #CXDay and we're reflecting on what it means to move from a good federal customer experience to a great one. Since 2011, our Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis (PEPA) team has been collaborating with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to ensure that taxpayer services meet the needs of all Americans. By collecting and analyzing data from taxpayers on their needs and experiences, we’ve helped the #IRS refine and create programs and services that are more responsive, efficient, and human-centered. Explore the impact made in our case study > https://lnkd.in/eY7eeT69 But what does the future hold for federal customer experience? Fors Marsh leaders Justin Baer and Nicole Togno, PhD are looking ahead, exploring how the IRS can draw inspiration from the Social Security Administration’s approach to build greater trust and accountability. In their Nextgov/FCW opinion piece, they discuss how adopting innovative performance-tracking can enhance transparency and public confidence in government services. Read more > https://lnkd.in/e62dSyhv Our commitment is clear: to partner with federal agencies to enhance customer experiences, build trust, and create more transparent and accountable government services for all Americans. #CustomerExperience #CX #GovCX #GovDelivers #PublicService #ProgramEvaluation #PolicyAnalysis #TaxStat #TheForsMarshWay Performance.gov

While we’ve honored #NationalRecoveryMonth throughout September, we know that recovery and support for people in recovery isn’t just a month-long effort—it’s an ongoing commitment. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Office of Recovery is delivering on that commitment nationally. In a special Recovery Month Q&A, Fors Marsh Media interviewed the office’s director Paolo del Vecchio about his leadership and 38 years of lived experience in long-term recovery. He shared the importance of reducing stigma and peer support, and how SAMHSA is driving lasting social change to uplift those on their path to recovery. Paolo’s story reminds us that recovery is possible, and how leading with empathy transforms how we support those in recovery in the workplace. As #RecoveryMonth ends, we’re reminded that creating a recovery-friendly workplace is about providing support to everyone on their journey every day. With more than 13 million Americans in recovery from substance use disorder going to work each week, the workplace can be a powerful source of encouragement and stability. Our survey, “Recovery Friendly Workplaces: A Human Resources Needs Assessment”, done with HRCI, shows that HR professionals struggle to implement recovery support programs. Let's work together to find ways to address those challenges. Stay tuned for the full survey results. #SupportRecovery #RecoveryReadyWorkplace #WorkplaceWellbeing

Aging is a natural part of life, but it doesn't have to mean giving up things you love. September is Healthy Aging Month, which brings a good reminder that there are ways to prevent injuries and prepare for changes in mobility to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle. Since 2016, we have worked with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)'s Division of Injury Prevention through various programs to help older adults age safely. In 2020, we worked with CDC to develop, launch, and disseminate the Still Going Strong campaign, which educates older adults, and their caregivers, about common injury risk factors. This campaign, through empowering and motivational messaging and imagery, reminds them that they can continue to engage in activities they love to stay mobile, connected, and healthy. Our approach turned something that sometimes feels inevitable into something older adults, and their caregivers, can take into their own hands. Learn more about the importance of healthy aging in our latest Q&A blog with Anna Jaffee, our Director of Public Health Campaigns > https://lnkd.in/eQQP2E8w #HealthyAging #OlderAdults #FallPrevention #HealthCommunication

#Naloxone is a lifesaving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids and is crucial to have in supporting recovery. Through our Stop Overdose campaigns with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we launched a series of billboards, social media posts, and print ads aimed to empower individuals to carry naloxone and be ready to act in emergencies. By supporting naloxone access and education, we aim to build a network of care that extends beyond treatment to make a lasting social impact. Learn how embracing harm reduction strategies as a shared social responsibility is vital to recovery. https://lnkd.in/evwsDykj #RecoveryMonth #CDC #Recovery #SUD #PublicHealth
