  • Three Years of Building Dreams with Otto Bremer Trust Over the past three years, our partnership with the Otto Bremer Trust has enabled numerous families in the greater Fox Cities area to turn their dreams into reality—providing safe, affordable homes to those who need them most. Established by Otto Bremer in 1944, the Trust has invested over $1 billion in communities throughout Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, and Wisconsin with a proactive approach to philanthropy that is deeply community focused. In 2024, the Otto Bremer Trust refined its grantmaking by creating Community Responsive Fund grants through established local partners, like the Community Foundation of the Fox Valley Region. This streamlined method helps meet the most crucial needs in communities as determined by those in the community, and effectively making every dollar go further. The Trust’s support has been instrumental in increasing our capacity and setting us on a path to achieving ambitious goals that have been set forth in our strategic plan. It has allowed us to allocate resources more efficiently and effectively to where they are needed most, so that we can respond to the growing housing needs in our community. According to John Weyenberg, President & CEO, “The support from the Otto Bremer Trust has been transformative, not just in terms of funding, but also in how we approach community engagement and long-term sustainability.'" As we look forward to continuing our partnership, we are inspired by the Trust's dedication to creating sustainable, positive change. We are profoundly grateful for the support of the Otto Bremer Trust and the Community Foundation of the Fox Valley Region as together we build better futures. Join us as we continue to partner with the Otto Bremer Trust and the Community Foundation of the Fox Valley Region, building brighter futures one home at a time. • We're thrilled to share an inspiring collaboration that brings real-world experience to the next generation of electricians and lights up our community—literally! 🛠️💡 Students from the Electricity Technical Diploma Program at Fox Valley Technical College are hands-on with the electrical work in Habitat homes—from rough-in to finish. Their hard work powers not just the homes but also their futures in the trades. 🏡✨ "It's really cool to work on real homes instead of just models in a lab." - FVTC Student This partnership does more than build homes; it builds careers and changes lives. Since 2015, these dedicated students and their instructors ensure safe, energy-efficient homes for many deserving families. Roger Roth, Director of Real Estate and Construction, adds, "Our construction team is blessed to work alongside such committed educators and students. They are truly powering our mission." Thank you, FVTC, for your commitment to education and community service. We can't wait to see the great things these students will achieve as they continue their journey! 👏 A round of applause to all! We look forward to many more years of partnership and success.

  • Welcome home, Uhoraho and Kitahaga family — James, Anna, Prince, Princess, Blessing and a little one on the way! Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating as this wonderful family received the keys to their new home. James and Anna are overjoyed to have a place to call their own, where they can feel safe, happy, and secure. As they prepare to welcome a new addition to their family, they look forward to raising their children in a home filled with love and warmth. The first thing they plan to do in their new home is to thank God and everyone who made homeownership possible for them. A heartfelt thank you to this home's sponsor, J. J. KELLER FOUNDATION, INC. & J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc., the homebuyers, and our amazing volunteers for all the hard work you have put into making this house a home!

  • On Wednesday Fox Communities Credit Union staff had the day off in observance of Juneteenth, but decided to take that free time to give back to others. While their office was closed, more than 240 of their team members were out in the community paying it forward and volunteering at 17 nonprofits - one being Fox Cities Habitat. Members of their team rolled up their sleeves and spent the day volunteering on-site at the home that FCCU is sponsoring this year. We are so grateful to partner with a company that values giving back and offering a hand up to families in our community. Thank you, Fox Communities Credit Union, for your unwavering support and generosity towards our mission! #FoxCitiesHabitat #HabitatForHumanity
