Thank you to the California Alliance of Child & Family Services! We appreciate the opportunity to join the 2024 Child and Family Services Conference. Our Child & Family Team Meeting Facilitation team, represented by Sr. Director Laura McClarin and Vicente Contreras Bueno, CFT Program Manager, was thrilled to present our session on “Promoting Youth & Family Advocacy During Child and Family Team (CFT) Meetings.” During the session, they shared insights on advocating for diverse cultural competencies in our CFT program, highlighting our commitment to early childhood support, transitional youth, and the unique needs of our transgender youth and military families. The positive feedback we received shows the value of our work, and we are grateful for the chance to raise awareness and share our expertise with such a large audience. Our Regional VP Dr. Teresa Chapa, Ph.D., MPA – SoCal also connected with key partners, including Jesse (Jesus) Leon, plenary speaker and author of I’m Not Broken: A Memoir, for a meaningful conversation. (Pictured below) Thank you to the California Alliance of Child & Family Services for providing this platform to showcase our knowledge and foster critical collaborations.
