    Pacific Clinics’ Peer Careers Program allows participants to work with a program coordinator who will provide support and guidance while in the program. This program includes: ⌛ 80-hour Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist (CMPSS) training 📰 Support to successfully pass the CMPSS exam to obtain certification 🎫 Guidance to obtain a peer position/internship or a peer job 💼 Career counseling 👏 Guidance for up to six months post-placement. The requirements to participate in our Peer Careers Program: 😎 17 years of age or older 🌍 California resident 🍎 Has a GED/High School Diploma or higher education degree 🧠 Identify as an individual with experience as mental/SUD/behavioral health services client, family member, and/or caregiver ❣️ Express interest in entering the behavioral healthcare workforce 🤝 Financial assistance is available for application and exam fees, if applicable.     In July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month as it marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 🤗 Passed in July of 1990, the ADA bars discrimination against individuals with disabilities whether it be for transportation, employment and access to local and State government programs and services.
