In honor of Disability Awareness Month, we’re excited to spotlight three impactful films sharing stories of resilience, talent, and inclusivity. I AM disABLEd is a Fresh Films DT documentary capturing the inspiring journeys of people with disabilities, highlighting their strengths and achievements. This film will receive national distribution in 2025 (news coming soon!), but until then, you can catch a glimpse through the trailer. Also featured on The Roku Channel through our partnership with @Roku are two other inspiring films created by Fresh Films youth in our weekly program. The Atlanta ChangeMaker film introduces an incredible ASL teacher who’s making accessibility in education a reality, while the Charlestown ChangeMaker captures the journey of Jethro, a young man with disabilities, as portrayed by our neurodiverse filmmaking team. Take a moment to watch and celebrate these films that advocate for awareness and inclusivity. https://lnkd.in/ecQT9EiJ

What an incredible Saturday with Alternating Currents in Quad Cities! Not one, but two of our Fresh Films original movies were showcased at their Music, Film, Art, and Comedy Festival this past weekend! 🎥 This was our first ever year partnering with Alternating Currents and the first year of The Last Picture House's existence, and it was a great start to a wonderful collaboration! Dr. Jeff Coussens, Director of Penguin Project of the Quad Cities and Professor of Theater at Augustana College along with Amy Calderone-Blommer Blommer, Producer with Fresh Films and Professor of Multimedia Journalism and Mass Communication at Augustana College led the audience discussion. It was an insightful and impactful day for all! We had such an incredible time this year and can’t wait for what’s in store for next!

From Dawn of the Planet of the Apes to the Avatar movies and Avengers, MOCAP suits are the key to some of the most iconic animations in film history. ⚡️ Huge thanks to our partners at QUEST PACIFICA LLC for this unforgettable experience! #QuestPacifica #VisualEffects #VFX #FreshFilms
