Walking alongside our Friend Grace, a survivor, at the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night was a truly powerful experience. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering light shined even brighter that evening, as we honored her journey and the countless others facing similar battles. Grace's spirit is a beacon of hope at FRIENDS, and walking with her reminded us all of the importance of community, love, and support. Together, we continue to fight, uplift, and stand by those on their journeys.

Hear what's been happening at FRIENDS in the month of September.

This past Saturday, we shined bright at the Broomfield Days Parade! We loved promoting our upcoming Variety Show 'FRIENDS on Browardway' down Midway and gave a sneak peek performance at the demo stage. Huge thanks to the City and City and County of Broomfield, The Broomfield Area Chamber, and everyone involved for making this event so special! Every year, we’re amazed by the incredible crowd, booths, bands, and floats—just a testament to how outstanding Broomfield truly is!

Oops, we're a week late—but the gratitude is always on time! Last week was Direct Support Professional Week, but we believe our DSPs (many not pictured) deserve recognition every day for the amazing work they do. They are the backbone of FRIENDS, helping our Friends foster independence, make healthy lifestyle choices, find and maintain employment, travel, live independently and live their best lives. Thank you for all you do—better late than never, right?

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting some outstanding volunteers from Emerson and Premier Members Credit Union for Mile High United Way's Day of Caring! They teamed up with our Friday morning class to create beautiful posters for us to proudly display at the Broomfield Days Parade this Saturday! A huge thank you to all who joined us—we hope to see you again soon!
