Is it time to clean your email list? 🧹 Managing an email list isn’t just about growing it—it’s also about keeping it healthy! If you’re not cleaning your list regularly, you could be hurting your deliverability and overall performance. Here’s why list hygiene matters: 🔻 Damaging your sender reputation: Unengaged subscribers can lead to low open rates and bouncebacks, which inboxes interpret as spammy behavior. This means your emails could land in the spam folder—even for subscribers who want them! 🔻 Spam complaints: Sending to unengaged recipients increases the risk of your emails being flagged as spam, negatively impacting your sender reputation. 🔻 Email bounces: Invalid or inactive emails cause hard bounces, which drag down your deliverability. So, how do you fix it? Here are 3 key tips for email list cleaning: 1. Segment intelligently: Focus on sending campaigns to your most engaged customers to keep your open rates high. 2. Send re-engagement campaigns: Give inactive subscribers one last chance to stay, and if they don’t respond, suppress them. 3. Use a suppression list: Instead of deleting unengaged contacts, suppress them so you don’t lose valuable data if they return. Regular list cleaning ensures you’re only sending to people who want to hear from you, which means better performance and higher conversions. Need help with your clean-up? Let’s chat!

We all know it’s important to highlight shipping details, but have you put much thought into where on your website those details are placed? 🤔 Placement makes all the difference. In fact, a simple placement shift led to a whopping 15% increase in conversion rate for wellness brand Smidge! 🚀 Here’s how our Fuel Made team did it: Smidge’s shipping details were displayed on their sitewide promo bar, however, we discovered that users were still searching for this info. 🤷♀️ We hypothesized that placing shipping information near the “Add to Cart” (ATC) button could drive better results. We ran a test comparing a variant with the info prominently displayed near the ATC button against the control page. ✅ The results? The variant with the shipping info close to the ATC button saw a 15% lift in conversion rate and a 5% increase in average order value (AOV) compared to the control. 🙌 Small changes really do make a big impact.

Love it or hate it, email marketing is changing. Traditional methods like generic discounts and salesy language are losing their charm. Today's buyers crave copy that’s more conversational and personalized. Here are some quick tips to ✍️ compelling email copy: 1. Know and understand your audience. Always, always (always, always, always) put yourself in the reader's shoes. What do they need or want? What are their struggles? Where are they now and where do they want to be? 2. Take a methodical approach. Before actually writing anything, ask: • What do you want the reader to know, feel, and do? • What is the product's value? • Who are you writing for? • How can you connect the product’s value to your customer’s needs? • What strategy can you use to drive sales? 3. Analyze performance. After a month, review metrics like open rate, click rate, and revenue. Align results with your original approach to see what works. 4. Be intentional about keeping a swipe file: Monthly, or even daily, collect creative ideas from various sources to inspire your campaigns. Pay attention to your inbox to see what catches your eye. Look for great ideas outside of email copy: TV ads, billboards, signs, magazine ads, etc. 5. Refer to a calendar. Use national holidays and quirky celebratory days for inspiration and special promotions. 6. When you get an idea, write it down. Keep a handy list of random ideas in a Google Doc or your Notes app for quick reference. 7. Leverage social proof. Customer reviews and stories build trust. Of course, use them in your emails, but also source them for inspiration. Want to know how your audience thinks and speaks? You’ve got a goldmine of research waiting in those reviews. 8. Be OK with embracing AI. Using AI tools to fuel your creative process and increase efficiency is smart, plain and simple. #EmailMarketing #Copywriting #DigitalMarketing #MarketingTips

Tip of the day: Don’t sleep on pop-ups. Most brands set one up with a simple 10% offer just to ✅ it off their list. Unfortunately, that won't take you very far. Here’s what will: 1️⃣ You need to think of a more enticing (and less overdone) offer. Maybe you can offer a free gift with a first purchase, or you could try a giveaway. You'll want to at least test different angles. 2️⃣ You need to consider who you're showing this to, how often, and when. Do you have ads running with an offer? In that case, be careful your pop-up doesn't interfere with an irrelevant offer. Do you show this pop-up to new visitors? Will you show it to them every single time they show up until they buy? 3️⃣ Consider these alternative ideas: - How about showing your welcome pop-up three times and then switching to a different offer if the original didn't work? - If someone has already given you their email address, why don't you try asking them for a phone number? Let them know the benefits of joining your SMS list and turn them into even more engaged readers. 🤳 - If you're running a temporary sale on your store, you need an alternative pop-up to switch on. That way you can still gain subscribers without having clashing offers. - If someone is reading your blog, show them an offer that makes sense given what they're interested in. - Ask specific questions on your pop-ups to better follow up (e.g., Are you interested in men’s or women’s clothes? Are you shopping for your dog 🐶 and/or cat 🐱?) - Why not include a video in a pop-up to welcome new customers to your stores and have them meet the founders? Or you could have an FAQ video in a pop-up that can be opened from your product page. See? There really are so many options if you give it a little time and love. Plus, we’ve got even more ideas up our sleeves... 😉

AI isn’t capable of optimizing nearly at the level of our expert human team. Some recommendations are really good, and some are just terrible 🫠.
