For International Day of the Girl, we asked our favorite focus group one small but meaningful question: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" ... and we can all agree these gals have bold visions for the future! #DayOfTheGirl

HUGE congratulations to the entire Oula team on this incredible recognition 🎉 It truly takes a village — honored to be a part of yours!
We’re honored to share that Oula has been named one of LinkedIn's Top Startups of 2024, for delivering better maternity care before, during and after pregnancy. Congratulations to the entire team! 🎉 As we celebrate this achievement, we take pride in what we’ve accomplished since our launch in 2021. 🌟 Growing beyond a modern maternity clinic to comprehensive maternity & reproductive care - including prenatal and postpartum care, hospital-based delivery, preconception counseling, and gynecology with our trusted team of midwives, OBGYNs and more. 🌟 Consistently delivering better birth outcomes than national and New York averages – fewer C-sections, higher VBAC success rates, and fewer preterm births. 🌟 Developing a strong partnership and delivering more than 1,850 Oula babies with our trusted hospital partner, Mount Sinai West. 🌟 Building and supporting a dedicated, passionate team of 95+ employees. Also an honor to be named alongside other trailblazers in the healthcare space like Midi Health, Headway and Cohere. We are looking forward to more meaningful work and growth into new markets in 2025. If you’re interested in joining a compassionate, dynamic, and innovative team, we’re hiring! #LinkedInTopStartups https://lnkd.in/eN2ynzGM

What does #mentorship mean to you??? Our Founder + CEO Desiree Gruber shares its importance in her life and career.
When I look back over the course of my life and career there’s a lot that has changed … interests, passions, jobs, clients, and, yes, hairstyles. But despite the constant evolution, one throughline—and one of my favorite topics—has been the magic of #mentorship. So, when Audrey Micay Wisch and my friends at Curious Cardinals asked me to share my mentor, the person who instantly came to mind was my high school speech and debate coach: Mrs. Judy Altman. Believe it or not I’m an incredibly shy person so it was a total fluke that I ended up in speech and debate class, but little did I know I was about to meet the woman who would change the trajectory of my entire life who I am lucky enough to call a friend to this day! Anyone observing our class would have seen a quiet girl with a skeptical look on her face sitting in the back of the room, but Judy saw potential and gave me a safe space to practice building my own bold voice, and in turn ignited my passion for storytelling. Fast forward all these years later (almost 40 but who’s counting?!) and I can so clearly see the indelible mark that Judy has made on my life and career. Without her guidance and positive reinforcement I certainly wouldn’t have had the courage and conviction to continue to share my own story or start my own company Full Picture where we use storytelling to build brands and elevate experts each and every day. Bottom line: #MentorsMatter and we all deserve to have someone who believes in us and encourages us to be our best selves. If you haven’t found your own Judy Altman yet, remember this: a mentor is not exclusively someone you know personally. I’ve never met Lucille Ball, Jack Welch, or Tess McGill (yes, Melanie Griffith’s character in Working Girl!) but from them I’ve learned the value of comedy and female entrepreneurship, best-in-class business strategies, and the importance of taking the first step even when you don’t know where the path leads. Tag a mentor who has changed YOUR life in the comments.

Must-listen advice from PEAK6 and Poker Power co-founder Jenny Just in conversation with Alexa von Tobel: The key to success is not winning all the time, it’s learning the art of risk taking. Jenny explains that the best way for women to get comfortable with taking more risk is to bet big on themselves and learn to play poker — and in turn, learn how to embrace risk, bounce back from losses, and think strategically.
