About us
Build, scale, and ship geospatial workflows of any size. With Fused, teams generate responsive map apps, dashboards, and reports. They get a distributed execution framework without needing to slow down to translate code, transfer data, and maintain infrastructure. Teams build workflows of any scale with Python SDK and Workbench webapp, and integrate them into their stack with the Hosted API.

#30DaysOfMapChallenge day 3: Polygons. At the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation conference today in Colorado, so I used that as inspiration to plot the ratio of headache-related hospital discharges from the New York discharges dataset 2021 (https://lnkd.in/gBeSDXX7) (Lighter is higher percentage of all discharges.) I didn't find diagnostic or treatment codes more specific to CSF issues in the dataset. I had to process the data in Fused to be able to plot it, because the data only comes with the first three digits of the zip code. This is a difficult geometry to work with, as you can see in the animation the geometries are not contiguous.

🚀 #30DayMapChallenge Day 2: Lines, ⚡ The 10 Minutes delivery boom With the rise of 10-minute grocery delivery, companies like Zepto, Blinkit, and bigbasket.com are transforming how we get essentials. But how are they strategically positioning their dark stores to make these lightning-fast deliveries a reality? In this map, the coral-colored areas represent residential zones, while the purple isochrones show the coverage areas that can be reached in under 10 minutes from the dark store. This is just the first layer—beyond coverage zones, there’s a whole ecosystem of data at play: population density, traffic patterns, weather forecasts, and more. All of this is analyzed through geospatial techniques to make the concept of quick commerce achievable and efficient. If your business is looking to improve delivery speed, refine store placement, or optimize last-mile logistics, this type of Geospatial analysis is what you need—and I'm here to help make it happen. Thank you Mark Litwintschik for the workflow. I used Fused to compare the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Buildings with Overture Maps Foundation. If you look at the images in the comments, Overture seems to break down the buildings better than Oak. Any thoughts?
Oak Ridge National Laboratory has published a building footprint and address dataset for 131M+ Buildings in the US. https://lnkd.in/dyTt25ZN The vector footprints were produced from Maxar imagery for the most part. They did a really good job on this as it's better than anything I've seen from Microsoft or Google's building datasets. Lightbox and OpenStreetMap were used to help with addresses. 32M buildings have height information as well.

📡 #30DayMapChallenge Day 1: Points – Mapping Cell Towers Across India 📡 To start this year's #30DayMapChallenge, I mapped almost 2.5 Million cell towers across India using data from the OpenCell ID dataset!!. Each point represents a cell tower, colored by operator to highlight the reach and coverage patterns of different providers. This visualization reveals the extensive and varied network powering connectivity in India, showing where operators have the strongest presence and how far their signals reach. It’s amazing to see the data come to life and understand the infrastructure that supports our everyday connections. If you’re interested in maps, data, or the stories our digital landscape tells, follow along for more insights throughout this month! What an honor to share my trajectory from growing up on a farm to working in data science to promote a climate resilient world. Thank you again for the help and support along the way from the great teams at CARTO, Fused, Columbia University, Nationwide, and Spatial Data Science Conference. Now, who wants to chat about the price of corn? 🤓 The full talk link is in comments.

#30DayMapChallenge day 1: Points. I used the AIS data from the U.S. Coast Guard (https://lnkd.in/gBZCtdct). The dataset has the location history of vessels in the US, over about 15 years. Here I processed a couple hundred MBs of data for just one day of the locations for ships in the San Francisco Bay using Fused. If you drive over the Bay Bridge you can see the ships do stay in this pattern in the middle of the bay. But what is "ATLANTIC JOURNEY" doing on the west coast? 🤔 Stationary or semi-stationary ships are tagged with their vessel name, and color is by vessel type. The "land" in the map is the "land" theme from Overture Maps Foundation.
