Futurity's Disaster Management System in Action During Iowa Tornado Crisis We're deeply saddened by the devastating tornadoes that struck communities in Iowa on the 21st, resulting in the loss of five lives. Our thoughts are with the affected families and communities. As Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management’s (HSEMD) trusted disaster management technology partner, Futurity is proud to support Iowa’s communities during this crisis with our disaster management technology and training. We recognize HSEMD’s leadership in organizing training that was fortuitously conducted in person on May 9th & 10th at the University of Okoboji University in Milford, Iowa. In conjunction with HSEMD, our Colleen Bresnahan helped lead this crucial two day training session and exercise on the Orion Damage Assessment module where 80 emergency managers were certified to use our Orion system. Thanks to this training, Iowa HSEMD was able to swiftly and effectively conduct damage assessments just weeks later, when multiple tornadoes struck the state. We are proud to have assisted with this rapid response. Futurity's system is designed to provide real-time data, helping emergency teams make informed decisions and expedite recovery.
