On #WorldMentalHealthDay, let’s remember that strong leadership starts with self-care. Prioritizing mental health is key to personal and professional growth. Take time to check in with yourself, seek support if you need it, and encourage others to do the same. #MentalHealthMatters #Leadership #FWLE

Women-founded startup companies receive a disproportionately small share of venture capital funding, despite their tremendous potential for innovation and impact. FWLE is committed to helping to change the narrative that views women-led ventures as inherently less worthy. Through leadership development programs, we help women redefine leadership, fostering new ways of thinking and boosting their confidence! #FWLE

We love reading about the experiences of #WLC2024 attendees!
✨ What an amazing week it's been at the Women in Leadership Conference! A big shoutout to FWLE and MGM Resorts International for organizing such a fantastic event. Thank you for empowering and inspiring us all! 🎉 I had the privilege of being in the presence of some truly phenomenal women leaders, including Sue Bhatia, Melonie Ducre Johnson, Orzse Hodi, Genea Wilson, Anne Leets, Selena Rezvani (she/her), Brandi Harleaux, Christine Maddela, Juanny Romero, Alicia Taylor, Veena Puri, and Luana Marques. 🌟 Their insights, wisdom, and stories left me feeling motivated and ready to take on the world, both personally and professionally. 💪🏽✨ But the conference wasn't just about the sessions! During the networking breaks, there were some unique and exciting activities that made connecting with others even more fun. We set our 10-year goals with "Ours to Proclaim" and pushed past our doubts with "Dunk Your Doubts." The "Work Chat Starters" helped spark meaningful conversations, and to top it off, we even had the opportunity to get professional headshots taken to enhance our LinkedIn profiles. Say cheese! 📸😄 It's been an incredible experience, and I'm excited to implement everything I've learned. Time to make a difference and own our futures! 💼🚀 #WLC2024 #OursToOwn

Hey y'all! I must say, for a leisure trip… 24 hours in Las Vegas is more than enough for me! 😂 But the two days I spent with over 750 emerging women leaders, #executives, and keynote speakers were incredible! While focusing on business growth, leading teams, and impacting the recycling industry through SPORC, I strive to be intentional with my time and give back to causes that matter to me—like elevating other women. When Anne Leets invited me back in March to speak at a powerful Women’s Leadership Conference, I felt honored and grateful to be considered. Then my thoughts quickly shifted: Do I have time for this? Does this align with my intentions for the year? And why haven’t I heard of the Foundation for Women's Leadership & Empowerment, founded by Phyllis A. James—who, by the way, is a visionary role model and epitomizes excellence! Fast forward six months, and here I am on a plane leaving Vegas, reflecting on the last 36 hours... The experience was filled with excellence, wonderful company, and a shared goal of lifting each other. Being on the MGM Grand Hotel Conference Stage alongside three incredible, driven, successful, and authentic entrepreneur panelists (Christine Maddela, Juanny Romero & Alicia Taylor), and a joy-filled moderator (Krystal Allan), was a powerful moment of connection and purpose. The conference theme, “The Future is Ours to Own,” felt tangible and inspiring. Success truly is OURS TO OWN when we proactively define what it means to each of us, to marshal our resources, and rewrite our careers, lives, and futures. In just one hour, we shared our stories, insights, and statistics about diverse industries, setbacks, resilience, achievements, and our visions for the future. It was soul-filling to connect with attendees, sit at tables with other speakers, and hear feedback filled with appreciation and inspiration. It’s clear to me that it’s not about me; it’s about the purpose and impact on the women in the audience—whether present in person, joining virtually, or on the stage. A huge thank you to the Foundation for Women’s Leadership and Empowerment team for creating such an inspiring conference space, thoughtfully curated educational sessions, and an A-rated “behind-the-scenes” networking mixer. I left with the reminder that “iron sharpens iron” and that we are never alone on our paths to living holistic, meaningful lives. Let’s remember to bring others along with us!
