Reimagining the path to parenthood.

About us

Remaking the way we make families. Gaia is bringing value-based care to fertility. We focus on improving outcomes for our members through better care and end-to-end support, and believe they should only pay us if successful. We take on the risk so that our clinic partners get paid regardless of outcomes. Our founder, Nader AlSalim, experienced the challenges of IVF firsthand as he and his wife went through 5 rounds of treatment to conceive their son. He created Gaia to give others the experience he wished he’d had. Today, a Gaia baby is born every 2.6 days, and with an NPS above 80, our Members feel taken care of at every step of their journey.

The holidays should be all about love, gratitude, and joy — right? Surrounded by family, enjoying pecan pie and hot cocoa, social media ablaze with Hallmark card-worthy photos. But we know the reality can be more challenging, especially for those of us trying to keep our spirits high while trying to conceive. If that’s you, or someone you know: check out our guide on how to navigate the holiday season: https://lnkd.in/egVeptvD

Imagine going through fertility treatment, and it works. Incredible, right? But then, imagine being told that you didn’t just have one baby — you had three, but it wasn’t medically safe for you to carry them all to term. After all it took to get there, you’re faced with the decision to reduce your pregnancy from triplets to twins. That’s what this week’s podcast guest, Erin Bulcao faced over a decade ago. Joining us to talk about her pregnancy reduction for medical reasons, how it impacted her marriage, and the long road to growing their family once more — it’s a hard hitting episode, reminding us that a positive pregnancy test isn’t always the final hurdle. Listen now to our season 2 finale, wherever you get your podcasts.

We guessed exactly what you wanted to read about during your daily LinkedIn scroll: cervical mucus. Why wouldn’t you? 👀 We promise it’s for a good reason. Did you know only 25% of women know that the week leading up to ovulation is the prime time to get pregnant — and a 2022 study found that women who track their cervical mucus have a much stronger understanding of their fertility. At Gaia, we’re here to give you the best shot at parenthood — and that includes empowering our community with the knowledge they need. Want to know how cervical mucus can be pivotal to understanding your fertility? Read our latest blog post here: https://lnkd.in/epfUKdSa

It’s Fertility Week in the UK — the place where Gaia’s story began and our community first took hold. Since we started, we’ve had the honor of being part of hundreds of unique stories — people with infertility, in same-sex relationships, or single — all animated by the strong desire to start a family and facing the same universal challenge: access to quality care isn’t easy or equal. In the UK, where healthcare is generally provided for by the government (the NHS), for most people, fertility treatment is not — access can depend on factors as trivial and infuriating as one’s postcode. Well, it’s easy to argue that while America has a different healthcare system, where you live — and how much you make — will also dictate whether or not you get a shot at parenthood. This week, we’re reminded of our roots. But more importantly, we’re reminded that we’re only just beginning to fulfill our mission: to give anyone who wants a family their best chance at parenthood. #FertilityWeek #FertilityWeek2024

“My [fertility] doctor looked at me and said, ‘Sarah, do you know the definition of insanity?’”. That’s what Sarah Shafer's doctor said to her when she told him she had done almost 20 rounds of IUI (intrauterine insemination) with a previous clinic, before moving onto IVF with her new doctor. Now the founder of Fertility Dreams Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting other people to access treatment through grants, Sarah joins us on this week’s podcast episode to share her fertility story, and how even now with 2 children, it’s still so raw. Listen now wherever you get your podcasts.

Is infertility a dealbreaker? In couples where one person has an infertility diagnosis and the other doesn’t, the guilt can be overwhelming. Some even offer their partners a “no hard feelings” free out so that they can find another partner who can give them the family they want. On the podcast this week, Amber Izzo chats about exactly that with Henry Sinclair, co-founder of Swimmers Charity - a charity with male factor infertility in mind. Talking about everything from sperm health and navigating IVF in secret, to the decision to use his experience to better everyone else's. It’s an episode you won’t want to miss. We’ve headed home after an incredible few days at #ASRM2024, surrounded by brilliant innovators on board to help Gaia shift the fertility industry towards value-based family building. The room’s shared passion for helping more people make families is nothing short of inspiring. Last but not least: a special shout out to our incredible brand team Marta Jesus and Natalia Lavric for creating the “it bag of the conference”! For some it’s “just” swag. For us, it’s about extending our commitment to innovation and creativity down to the last detail.
