Today, October 22nd, Anthropic released the beta version of “Computer Use,” an AI tool that scans your screen and follows commands across different tabs and windows. It moves the cursor, mimicking the actions of a novice computer user. Though not the most efficient for command execution, its ability to replicate human behavior in task management makes it particularly user-friendly. This release is crucial as it boosts engagement, which will lead to more data collection, improved models, and a smoother user experience. Kudos to the Anthropic team!

In the lifespan of modern technology, there are instances where highly technical products achieve their design objectives yet fail commercially. A notable example is the Concorde, a supersonic aircraft developed in the 1960s and 70s. Despite being a technological marvel of its time, it was not a commercial success. If you’re unfamiliar with the Concorde, explore our work to see how technological advancements can overshadow other crucial aspects of a product, leading to its failure. Do you know more examples like Concorde, share it with us. British Airways - Airbus Aircraft - Airbus -
