A Path to SuperCells™ Therapies
About us
GC Therapeutics Inc. (GCTx) uses synthetic biology to program patient-derived stem cells into any cell type with best-in-class efficiency (up to 10X), speed (up to 100X) and scalability. We dictate cells fates in a single step and have validated cells for many applications. We have also developed SuperCells™ by tailoring cells for specific diseases. The core technology of GCTx was conceived, invented and perfected in Professor George Church’s lab at Harvard Medical School. We are a group of passionate biologists and tissue engineers whose goal is to bring this breakthrough approach to patients.

Thrilled to have attended BioFuture for the third consecutive year! Last week, at the Cure. in New York City, #BioFuture 2024 gathered a remarkable community of trailblazers, disruptors, and investors from across the healthcare ecosystem to discuss the future of healthcare innovation. The conference spotlighted impactful discussions on AI/ML, quantum computing, policy advancements, neuroscience, oncology, obesity treatments, longevity, biomanufacturing, cell and gene therapy, cardiovascular health, women’s health, and financing strategies. We explored the convergence of deep tech and deep science in drug discovery & development, diving into the forefront of healthcare transformation. It was also the perfect opportunity to reconnect with fellow investors, founders, and ecosystem partners. Great to finally meet Parastoo Khoshakhlagh, Ph.D. in person and catch up with Tingting Zhang-Kharas, PhD, Silvia Garcia Codony, and Lynda Chin. A huge thanks to Sara Jane Demy and Demy-Colton for organizing such an inspiring event. Already looking forward to BioFuture 2025! #healthcare #biotech #lifescience #biopharma #TechBio #AI #Therapeutics #venturecapital #innovations #deeptech

Our mission at GC Therapeutics is rooted in the grand vision of our co-founder and advisor, Prof. George Church: creating higher-quality cell therapies that are accessible to all patients. This mission aligns closely with Henri Termeer’s legacy. We are dedicated to fulfilling our responsibility as a biotech company, as Henri described—to tackle what seems impossible and make a real difference for patients. As a #Termeer Fellow I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside mentors and colleagues who share the same passion as we do at GC Therapeutics. This collective support has significantly helped me do my job better. I am incredibly proud and thankful to be part of this amazing community!

"Also last month, famed synthetic biology pioneer George Church announced a new startup that raised $75 million for a cell therapy platform that aims to deliver off-the-shelf #iPSC medicines up to 100 times faster than conventional methods, using a four-day process. Called GC Therapeutics, it is aptly named because Church himself donated his own skin cells to reprogram into the stem cells used by the platform."
