AI + Robotics for the Built World
About us
Gecko Robotics is the pioneer of AI + Robotics [AIR technology], transforming how the world builds, operates, and maintains its most critical infrastructure for a more reliable and sustainable future. Using fixed sensors and robots that climb, crawl, swim, and fly, we combine first-order data layers with the predictive power of AI into a single source of truth for the physical world. Cantilever™ is our operating platform, powered by AIR technology, that empowers teams to achieve operational excellence through actionable data for immediate and long-term planning. Improve operations. Optimize capital outlay. Extend asset life. That's our promise.

"Data on the built world simply doesn't exist," says Jake Loosararian at #CNBCEvolve. And without good data even the best AI can't be effective. Watch the full discussion on why Gecko is working to create first-order data layers in key industries: https://lnkd.in/e2zcrVWt

Great chatting with Jon Fortt at CNBC Events on Tuesday. What is clear to me, as companies like Klarna replace Salesforce and Workday, is that the future of standalone SaaS is dire, and the age of First Order Data companies has arrived. If you are obsessed with AI and Robotics, you need to be looking for secrets hiding in plain sight. Contrarian thinking is what will differentiate the winners and losers of this moment.

"My journey through the rust has given me a vantage of pragmatism but also optimism about the future. Where robots and AI help us transform the built world. In the next 5 years, systems like Cantilever will be the key. Governments will require it. Insurance companies will reward it. And the idea of not knowing the health of our infrastructure will become just as foreign as not knowing our own health." Now is the time to rebuild American manufacturing. With innovation, we can keep operations open, skilled workers employed, and make the U.S. more competitive globally. Hear more from Jake Loosararian on why AI and robotics are vital to restoring the middle class, reinvigorating communities, and protecting our national security. Thanks for having us CNBC, Kelly Evans, and Dominic Chu.

As the race for the White House intensifies, one issue both major candidates for president agree on is that the American manufacturing industry is in crisis. Here in Pennsylvania, where factory floors once hummed with the rhythm of industry, this crisis echoes loudly. However, it’s not tariffs or tax cuts that will revive this critical sector — it’s innovation. American history is steeped in stories of innovation leading us out of crisis. Radar and jeeps helped us win World War II. The transistor put us ahead in the space race. Innovation has been the cornerstone of America’s resilience. Yet, as our manufacturing sector continues to shrink, we’re failing to apply that same devotion to innovation. Our infrastructure — once the backbone of the U.S. economy — is aging and crumbling, while global competitors surge ahead. China’s production now eclipses the next nine largest nations combined. They produce 54% of the world’s steel, while we manage just 4%. China builds 47% of the world’s ships; the U.S. produces less than 1%. The manufacturing industry built the American middle class and made us an economic superpower. It’s more than just reviving an industry — it’s about restoring the middle class, reinvigorating communities and protecting our national security. A little over a decade ago, national defense faced a similar crisis. China and Russia were rapidly developing defense technologies. In 2015, defense leaders like then Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and the late Senator John McCain visited Silicon Valley and implored start ups, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists to surge on national defense. McCain wrote that “America’s military technological advantage is eroding fast” and called on Silicon Valley to step up. And it did. Between 2019 and 2022, venture capital investment in defense startups doubled to $33 billion. We need that same urgency and spirit of innovation to revitalize American manufacturing. Imagine hackathons to make steel production and mining operations safer and more efficient. Picture venture capital investments focused on rebuilding the shipyards that once made the U.S. a naval powerhouse. Imagine government offices opening in Pittsburgh, Detroit and Cleveland to actively collaborate with entrepreneurs to implement new technologies on factory floors. The technology exists to make this vision a reality. Advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and automation can transform our factories, making them more competitive globally while creating good jobs right here at home. It’s time for someone to bring government, industry, venture capital and entrepreneurs together on how we can innovate our way out of this problem. In 2015, McCain wrote, “I believe the brightest minds will always be driven to solve the world’s toughest problems.” That problem today is how we rebuild making in America.
