We’re so excited to welcome Elisa Camahort Page as our guest for this week’s Women in Leadership live! 🎉 Elisa’s insightful approach to transitions and her thought leadership in navigating professional growth is truly inspiring.
Her recent guest post on "Optionality" had a mini-aha moment for many of us, challenging how we think about transitions—especially when it comes to identifying not just what we don’t want, but what we do want. 💡 We can’t wait to dive deeper into her ideas during this live session!

Wonderful guest post for Optionality this morning from Jill D. Griffin.
From the outset she challenges some of the ways I’ve typically thought about transitions. Maybe it’s my nature, but I am that person who is much more likely to codify what I don’t want or don’t need and search for the absence of those things.
It’s more challenging (for me) to name the reverse…and yet, can you really search for a job or a gig based on what it isn’t?
Seems obvious, but it was a mini-aha for me.
This is the first in a series Jill is writing for us, and I encourage you to check it out! (Link in comments.)
We kicked off our Women in Leadership program with a powerful session featuring the incredible Ashley Miles, CEO Franklyn West. The energy in the room (virtual and global!) was electric—women from nearly every continent came together. From Ireland to South Africa, Germany to the U.S., it was our most diverse group yet!
Ashley shared her journey as a leader, entrepreneur, and motivator. Here are a few key takeaways:
1️⃣ Superpowers: Ashley encouraged us to *embrace our superpowers*, reminding us that everyone has unique strengths. Whether it's making things happen or building genuine connections, leaning into these strengths can take us to the next level.
2️⃣ Leadership Wisdom: She opened up about her time with Refinery29 and Thrive Global and how leading through crisis (like COVID) helped sharpen her leadership skills. Her advice? Be authentic, build strong relationships, and stay aligned with your values.
3️⃣ The Bold Vision: We learned about the *Pivotal Power Agenda*—a framework for leaders to outline their bold future and plan for sustainable growth, whether personal or professional. Ashley emphasized the importance of taking time for reflection and aligning our work with our core values.
And finally, a reminder from Ashley: "Feel the fear, and do it anyway!"
We’re just getting started, and there’s so much more to come. 🚀
Let’s continue to support each other, grow our confidence, and make 2024 the year we step fully into leadership roles. 💪

Brain Science Behind Successful Leadership: The Science of Leading with the Brain in Mind
What if you could train your brain to become a better leader? Brain-Driven Leadership is the next frontier in leadership development.
In today's fast-paced world, leaders often feel overwhelmed by constant demands. But what if the key to leading effectively lies in understanding how the brain works?
This is where Brain-Driven Leadership comes in.
The beauty of our brain is its adaptability. Through neuroplasticity, we can train our brains to be more resilient, innovative, and even empathetic.
Leaders who understand these concepts can create environments that foster growth—not only for themselves, but for their entire teams.
By understanding how the brain reacts to stress, leaders can handle pressure more intentionally, leading with calm in high-stakes situations. Tapping into the brain's "social circuitry," helps build a sense of belonging and trust within teams.
Leadership isn't just about managing people -- it's about managing minds. By harnessing the science behind how the brain works, leaders can unlock new levels of connection, influence, and impact.
Key Takeaways:
* Train your brain's adaptability through neuroplasticity
* Master stress by understanding the brain's response mechanisms
* Leverage the social brain to deepen collaboration and trust within teams
