As 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 comes to a close, we are proud to spotlight our final incredible women chief, Lauren Murray-O'Donnell, LNHA, Chief Operating Officer. Lauren has dedicated over 30 years to improving the lives of patients, residents, and caregivers in long-term care. She began her career in acute care case management before joining our organization in 1999. Over the years, she has held several leadership roles, including Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, VP of Sales & Marketing, Regional VP of Operations, Market President, and SVP of Operations. Lauren currently serves on the board of the New Hampshire Health Care Association and the Michael R. Walker Employee Foundation. She is also a member of the AHCA/NCAL Quality Committee. Lauren is a Certified Richardson Sales Trainer, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Massachusetts. She was also inducted into the 2024 McKnight's Long-Term Care News Women of Distinction Hall of Honor. Lauren holds a BA from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts, and has completed graduate coursework (MHA) at Suffolk University. Outside of work, Lauren loves traveling, golfing, and spending time by the ocean. She enjoys supporting her son Nate’s sports activities and cherishes her lifelong friendships, many of which began at Regis College. She shares a unique bond with her sister, who is just nine months older. Passionate about community involvement, Lauren actively supports various causes. She is also an avid reader and a dedicated Boston Celtics fan, always cheering for her favorite player, Jaylen Brown. When asked what advice she’d offer aspiring women leaders, Lauren shares: "Mentorship has been crucial in my own journey. I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors—people who provide honest, direct, and constructive feedback, and aren’t afraid to challenge me. These individuals have been pivotal to my story." Lauren’s leadership and vision drive our mission forward, making a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve. Janice Thorpe, DNP, AGPCNP-BC, VP of Population Health, hosted another all-day intensive session for our affiliated CT, MA, ME, and RI centers in collaboration with Tawny Jackson from the American Heart Association (AHA)! The focus was on the 𝗔𝗛𝗔 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, empowering our teams with the knowledge and tools to provide exceptional care to heart failure patients. This initiative strengthens our commitment to quality care while fostering growth and development, ensuring we continue to evolve and deliver the best care to those we serve. Our Mid-Atlantic team recently participated in the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, bringing together a dynamic group of team members, including Administrators, DONs, ADONs, STHLs, NPEs, MDS Coordinators, UMs, Market Advisors, Market Clinical Advisors, and the Clinical Lead of the Mid-Atlantic market.
