Helping Those Affected by Severe Weather With Hurricane Milton set to make landfall soon, the threat of severe weather sadly remains an ever-present concern across our country. But as quickly as these storms move, their impact often results in lasting damage; recovery is measured in terms of months and years. So many parts of our country are still reeling from the devastating Hurricane Helene; and North Carolina faces a long and arduous process as it seeks to respond and rebuild. AMCP knows that affected communities across the United States still need our support. Whether it be our employees, members, or even the patients we serve, AMCP stands ready to lend a helping hand. So, please, take a look at this list of charities that are playing their part in getting people back on their feet—and if you can give, thank you for playing yours. https://lnkd.in/gWEeWc7s #AMCP #Support #GaAMCP

We are thrilled to share that the Ga AMCP Chapter joined hands with the Scream Foundation to volunteer at their annual Back to School event at the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA, providing free clothes and school supplies to children in the Atlanta area. We had a wonderful time engaging with the community and truly felt the positive impact of our collective efforts. Gratefulness fills our hearts as we reflect on the joy and gratitude expressed by the children and families we met. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of community and the difference we can make together. We look forward to continuing our support for our local Atlanta community and our children, helping to ensure they have the necessary resources to succeed. We would love to have interested members join us in these efforts for future events! We are excited to announce that the Georgia AMCP Affiliate Chapter is collaborating with The Scream Foundation, a revered 501(c)3 organization for the 4th annual Fresh Fest this August 3rd. We're united by the joint mission of empowering the youth in underserved communities, and we're planning an inspiring event to spotlight Atlanta's budding young talents. The Back-to-School Fresh Fest will serve as a stage for self-expression, promote teamwork, boost confidence, and guide our young attendees towards achievement. Additionally, we look forward to nurturing their physical and overall well-being through a special yoga session. This fun session will shed light on effective stress management techniques, promoting mindfulness, and the value of fitness. To ensure our scholars are ready for the coming school year, we aim to equip them with necessary school supplies, and we're calling on our valued members for support. Whether it's through attending the event with your Ga AMCP Chapter or contributing donations towards backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials, your support makes a significant impact. In addition, we're also offering a wide range of services like medication reviews, health & wellness education, as well as guidance on navigating the healthcare system and making wellness choices. Your generous contributions directly aid our local Atlanta children, making their journey into the school year smoother and more confident. Whether your support is big or small, it's pivotal in shaping brighter futures for our community's rising stars. For more information, or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Let's unite and make Back-to-School a vibrant, educational, and memorable occasion for our community's future leaders!
