🔬 Hydrogen test injection in Loenhout storage facility     Today is an important day for the energy transition! 🌍 We gather at the Fluxys storage site in Loenhout (Antwerp) for the pilot project BE-HyStore. 🚀     What makes this project unique? We are injecting hydrogen into an underground storage, a porous rock deep below ground level. This 'rocky sponge' currently holds natural gas in storage. With the valuable support of the Energy Transition Fund, FOD Economie / SPF Economie / FPS Economy and in collaboration with Ghent University and Geostock we're taking steps towards the possibility of storing hydrogen in the future. 💡    We are proud to present this next step in the energy transition, with distinguished guests including Anas Ben Abdelmoumen, representative of the Federal Minister of Economy and Labour Pierre-Yves Dermagne and Federal Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten 🤝     #BEHyStore #energytransition #hydrogeninnovation
