In honor of National/World Breastfeeding Month, GRMC would like to share the accomplishments of our Infant Feeding Services team. Our team is finishing up participation in a 2-year project called EMPower Best Practices. The EMPower Best Practices initiative is a nationwide quality improvement project where the team receives individualized coaching/support to implement changes in how they educate staff on topics related to infant feeding. We currently have 44 trained staff members with an average of 300 annual births! We are step closer to our goal of re-designation as a Baby-Friendly® designated facility in 2026!

On July 28th at 12:09pm, Baby Hezekiah was born weighing at 9lbs 8oz and is our first baby born in the new Women and Newborn Services unit!
