Last week, I was honored to be a part of the Beyond100K featured fireside chat: “Where Belonging Fuels Innovation: Fireside Chat on Transforming STEM Education,” with Beyond100K Founder & Executive Director Talia Milgrom-Elcott alongside Stephanie Rodriguez, Ph.D. Director of the AAAS STEMM Opportunity Alliance. I proudly represented the women and youth of Girlstart when asked about my perspective of the state of STEM while also proudly speaking about how I found my place of belonging at Xavier University of Louisiana amongst other brilliant black students.
