To succeed in business or any arena, getting your message across quickly and powerfully is essential. Did our new website get the job done? The new site was designed to highlight our unique place in leveling the playing for women in business - from our amazing instructors and mentors to the students whose lives we change... to the ripple effect on our workplaces and our economy… to the role that every one of us can play in creating a better world. 8 years ago we took on this task after much talk at the #WorldEconomicForum in #Davos. I hope even Melinda French Gates is proud - as the forum says, true equality requires more women at the top in both government and business. We decided 130 years was too long to wait. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gGa_Uvc Thank you Mitra Best at PwC! #WorldEconomicForum #Quality #Education #Website #Women

Where tech meets trend in perfect style! GWI graduate Asha Malani and a Rice University alumna, created an innovative business pitch for StyleScan: an app that scans users and their clothes, allowing them to see how any piece of clothing fits on their scanned body. The app also helps people with different body types or who are in between sizes. Wishing you all the best in your journey ahead—Girls With Impact will always be here as part of your support network. Real Estate Broker and Principal, The Robin Kencel Team at Compass | Ms. Connecticut Senior America 2024

My path to Ms. Connecticut Senior America 2024 was unexpected. I had little understanding of what pageants truly entailed until I discovered the world of pageants for women over 60.   What caught my attention was the organization's focus on a woman's inner beauty — celebrating grace, vitality and wisdom. The call to support and encourage older women while sharing insight with younger generations deeply resonated with me, inspiring me to enter the Ms. Connecticut Senior America 2024 pageant.   Winning the title is just a day — a day that challenges you on many personal levels from public speaking and sharing your truth, demonstrating your talent, interviewing with a panel of judges and much more. The day itself is filled with many emotions, but it's not about the crown or the day. What truly matters to me are all the days that follow.   With the title, my mission begins and focuses on enriching the lives of seniors and supporting educational and leadership opportunities for young women through work with organizations like Girls With Impact and Bellarmine College at Fairfield University, as well as progressing the conversation on economic and leadership empowerment for women. And yes, dancing for charitable causes continues to contribute to my joy and hopefully to those in an audience – of course!   It was fantastic to join The Lisa Wexler Show to share more about my journey to Ms. Connecticut Senior America, my thoughts on the importance of gratitude, my real estate practices and more.   I encourage you to tune into the episode: https://lnkd.in/es5P62U9
