Have you heard about MonadTalks? Another great member benefit for our members of the Greater Monadnock Collaborative. In December 2021 we unleashed this epic way to share stories about the Businesess, organizations and people who help make the Monadnock Region Thrive. We working in partnership with the Monadnock Media Group to create a professional podcast 24 minutes long so people can give a concise and energized story of who they are and what their business is accomplishing in the region. This is free to members and all you need to do to be in is send me a message and I will send an invite to a random taping of an episode and we will go from there. Coming soon will be some great additional benefits and exposure thanks to Emily Aborn who is a dynamic and exciting content copyright professional. If you want to listen (and you should) please find the first comment as it will be a link to the archives.

The Greater Monadnock Collaborative is partnering with the Hannah Grimes Center in Keene to help distribute a survey organized by the  Northeast Transition Initiative (ownershiptransition.org). In the Northeast, there are over 200,000 small businesses with employees where the owner is nearing retirement age, and most of them don’t understand the exit planning process and options and don’t know who to turn to for help. Lack of awareness and planning too often leads to unnecessary liquidation and closure. NETI is surveying business owners throughout the region and your response will help business service providers, civic leaders and policy makers better understand the scope and scale of the challenge and its potential impact on our economy. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All individual survey responses will be confidential. Only the aggregated, anonymous data will be available publicly. Click here to take the short survey now!   https://lnkd.in/dphk43h9

https://lnkd.in/gz4RP34y I have a request….. it’s at the end of this post and about how we can do even more for our members and the community. As we look at the last year and see what kind of difference we made in the community, I look back to the newest members who have joined us. You can find that info on our website. We know that everyone joins a chamber of commerce for their own reason. Supporting the GMC in our community outreach, needing more local marketing and networking or a way to be part of the community as a soloprenuer and getting their name mentioned with larger companies in the same industry. These members listed here are just a sample of our membership and how it’s grown and evolved in different industries. So please let me know your experience with chambers (yes, good and bad) and how we can add even more of a value for your membership. If you were a member and not anymore, please reach out to me. I would love to learn more and for the GMC be a better resource for your business. #localbusiness #chamber #servingthecommunity

A few years ago I switched to become the leader of the Greater Keene and Peterbrough Chamber today we are known as the Greater Monandock Collaborative. Here are some take aways from the last two years. 1) our five year goal was to become a sustainable organization for the community for the next 20 years 2) (here come my food analogies) Year one. We broke eggs Year two. We threw Spaghetti at the wall. Year three. Time to create a sustainable and balanced menu. 3) without Julie Schoelzel who is Director if Regional Marketing we wouldn’t have done half of what we accomplished with Promoting the Region. 4) the addition this past year of Michelle DellaVita MS, PCC, CPC, CSID Director of Develoment and Communty Engagement has not only given credibility to our mission. She has added integrity and the ability to be strategic/thoughtful in our growth and outreach. 5) this year we will add another full time member of the team and we will do more for our membership than ever before. We will live by our motto Connect Communicate Collaborate and lead by example. Finally. Are we perfect? Not quite. But we care and we are trying. We are so lucky to have people like Michelle, Julie and our CES Kate who are making the vision of the Greater Monadnock Collaborative and what it means for your business and our community a reality. We are striving to be better and do more everyday. I am so proud to work alongside our team and our board of directors. Christopher Coates Ed Coppola Jamie Trowbridge We are so honored by the recognition we receive from our county and state partners, their support has been vital to what we do. New Hampshire Department of Business & Economic Affairs Cheshire County Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire Finally. Thank you to our membership that supports our vision everyday.
