Keep Waco Beautiful Inc is a 2023 grant recipient, and they used their grant to refresh their glass recycling program. This included program rebranding, educational materials in English and Spanish, and outreach to businesses. They host 24/7 drop-off locations around Waco, Texas in addition to collections at Cobb’s Recycling Center. The grant allowed Keep Waco Beautiful to also provide area businesses with access to glass recycling bins to use at their business location. Area businesses who were not recycling glass prior began to utilize these bins and the educational materials to recycle. Since the program relaunched in January 2024 with new strategic partners, and Glass Recycling Foundation grant funding, they have recycled 155.75 tons of glass!
