  • Arun Agarwal, a biomedical engineer and entrepreneur, is leading the charge in transforming maternal and neonatal healthcare in India. After visiting over 100 hospitals, Arun identified a critical need for continuous monitoring and timely interventions during pregnancy. This inspired him to found Janitri, a social enterprise developing wireless, compact fetal-maternal monitoring systems that facilitate remote doctor monitoring and ensure comfort for mothers. Janitri also extends support to mothers in remote areas during the postnatal phase, bridging the gap between patients and doctors to empower informed healthcare decisions. Arun's dedication to improving healthcare access is making a lasting impact on communities across India. GGF is proud to support Arun’s journey toward healthier futures! #Fifteen years ago, in 2009, we embarked on a #journey to uncover and amplify #voice, #choice, and #equity, not just for ourselves but for everyone whose lives we touch. It has been a road marked with #triumphs and #trials, yet our #resilience has always been anchored by the wisdom of a strong advisory #board#mentors who entered our story through the many #awards and #recognitions earned by Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti and incubated by various prestigious organizations like TFIx-Teach For India The Global Good Fund YSE SIF Last night, a profound conversation with one of our board members illuminated a powerful truth: our existence is not about the “I” but the “We.” This realization #shifted our perspective entirely. There is no word for “Founder” here, for we are not solitary #creators. We are custodians of #dreams, architects of change, and managers of the #community development projects entrusted to us. This is the heart of a #civil society organization—not an individual’s journey, but a collective legacy driven by shared purpose, boundless passion, and a vision that belongs to everyone we serve. Internal communication is the backbone of any successful organization—but even with the best intentions, it’s not always easy to get it right. This year, I faced a major failure in internal communication while navigating a merger. It was a humbling experience that underscored the importance of clear, thoughtful, and timely communication within teams—especially those spanning continents, cultures, and time zones. From this experience, I developed the S.L.A.C.K. method, a simple framework to strengthen internal communication: - Solicit Feedback - Lead with Transparency - Audience Segmentation - Be Clear, Concise, and Consistent - Know Your Timeline I’m sharing my reflections and the S.L.A.C.K. method in the hope that it helps others avoid the same missteps and fosters trust and alignment within their teams. You can read the full article below. How do you ensure effective internal communication within your organization? I’d love to hear your thoughts. #Leadership #Communication #WorkplaceCulture #Growth

  • Sunthetics has surpassed $690K in revenue during the first year of their product in the market and continues to expand its customer base with top-tier companies across chemical R&D. Sunthetics just closed an oversubscribed $4M seed round led by L'ATTITUDE VENTURES, and has been backed in two consecutive rounds by our sister company, The Global Impact Fund. Daniela Blanco is a Venezuelan-born chemical engineer working to address the chemical industry's heavy reliance on fossil fuels, which poses significant environmental challenges. As co-founder and CEO of Sunthetics, she employs electrochemical processes and proprietary artificial intelligence software to improve the efficiency of chemical reactions powered by renewable electricity. By replacing traditional methods that depend on heat and fossil fuels with complex pulses of electrical current, Daniela's work promotes sustainable practices in the chemical sector, contributing to a more environmentally responsible industry. Congratulations to Daniela and the entire Sunthetics team!

  • In rural Azerbaijan, heavy rainfall often means power outages, leaving families without light, heat, or essential resources. GGF Alumni Reyhan Jamalova grew up in Quba, where these outages were common. Determined to find a solution, she founded Rainergy at 14—a project that turns rain into power. Today, as she studies Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania, Reyhan works to bring sustainable electricity to communities often left behind. Through her technology, Rainergy is offering a real, cost-effective power solution for regions with frequent rainfall but unstable electricity. By providing reliable power, Rainergy can support children studying after dark, improve healthcare with consistent energy, and reduce reliance on harmful fuels. Reyhan’s Perspective: “Electricity means more than just light. It enables learning, improves health, and offers a foundation for opportunity. If you have an idea, take action—change starts with you.” At The Global Good Fund, we find and support changemakers like Reyhan, who turn big challenges into transformative solutions. https://lnkd.in/ey6_dK32
