"Empowering Veterinarians, Transforming Communities"

About us

GIVE, is dedicated to advancing global veterinary care by delivering specialty-level services to underserved communities where such care is either unavailable or financially out of reach. In addition to providing vital medical interventions, we prioritize sustainability through comprehensive education initiatives. We empower local veterinary communities with specialized training in diagnostics, techniques, and treatments, ensuring ongoing access to high-quality care. By bridging the gap between need and resources, we strive to elevate veterinary standards worldwide, one community at a time.

Curious about what Global Instruction for Veterinary Empowerment (GIVE) does? The mission of GIVE is to provide veterinary specialty care (for example cardiology, neurology, critical care, dermatology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, etc) to communities around the world where pets either do not have access to these board-certified specialists or to communities where pet parents may not be able to afford them. Once we identify a community in need, we reach out to the veterinary community (veterinarians, veterinary nurses, vet schools) and discuss their needs and decide which specialist we can bring to them. We encourage them to identify challenging cases and cases with financial concerns and to invite them to be seen by our volunteer specialist when we travel. Once we arrive at our destination, we spend the first couple of days with the veterinary professionals of the community and have lectures and wetlabs to share the knowledge the specialist has trained so hard for. The goal of these first days is to ensure that the veterinary community can continue to provide advanced care once we leave, ensuring sustainability. We also research what resources are available in their country (diagnostics, medications, equipment) to ensure they can provide this level of care once we leave. The final days we are there we see the patients! The specialist and the GIVE team work side by side with the veterinarian and their patients and go over physical exam findings, diagnostics, interpretation, treatments, and follow-up plans to ensure these patients can continue a stronger relationship with their veterinarian moving forward. The goal is to be able to provide excellent, advanced care to all animals around the world despite their location or financial status, by training the veterinary community! “Empowering veterinarians, Transforming communities”
