Global Warming Mitigation Project reposted this
An opportunity for initiatives advancing the decarbonization efforts to participate in the Keeling Curve Prize competition offered by The Global Warming Mitigation Project. The Keeling Curve is a graph that represents the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in Earth's atmosphere over time, measured at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii. Initiated by scientist Charles David Keeling in 1958, this graph shows a clear, long-term upward trend in CO2 levels, illustrating the significant impact human activities have on our planet's atmosphere. Named in honour of the groundbreaking Keeling Curve, the Keeling Curve Prize (KCP) recognizes and supports innovative climate solutions that aim to bend the Keeling Curve downward, ultimately reducing the concentration of atmospheric CO2 and other greenhouse gases. You can apply using the link in the comment section. ⤵️ Deadline: January 15th, 2024, at 11:59 PM (UTC-12) #KeelingCurvePrize #GlobalWarming #Decarbonization #Sustainability #ClimateChange #ThePossibilists
