About us
Founded in 1994, GoodWeave works to stop child labor in global supply chains. With over 170 brand partners and 25% of international market share, GoodWeave has transformed South Asia’s handmade carpet sector through its market-based model, where child labor has dropped from one million victims in 1995 to an estimated 200,000 today. The GoodWeave® label is the best assurance to consumers that no one was exploited in the production of goods and that a percentage of the purchase supports child rescue, remediation and prevention programs. BravinLee Editions collaborates with contemporary artists to create limited edition luxury hand knotted rugs from Nepal. Their most recent rug collaboration, pictured below, is the Anxious Rug, designed by Rashid Johnson. A devastating flood has hit Kathmandu and several other districts earlier this week. We’ve been in close contact with our teams to assess the impact on the workers and children we serve, and to determine how we can help. GoodWeave has been working in Nepal for 25 years, partnering with over 50 suppliers and currently supporting more than 7,400 vulnerable workers and 430 children, both at risk of child labor and child laborer survivors. Our team has never witnessed a disaster of this magnitude. One of our colleagues lives in a severely affected area, and while he is safe, many of his neighbors have suffered significant losses. The children at Hamro Ghar are thankfully safe, but they are unable to join their families for the Dashain holidays due to impassable roads. Many schools have been damaged or closed, and with the floods, the risk of disease is set to rise dramatically. Our work in Nepal includes access to education from early childhood to secondary school and free healthcare for vulnerable workers – critical needs that will only increase in the aftermath of the flood. To support our work please visit: bit.ly/SupportGoodWeave We are keeping our colleagues and friends in Nepal in our thoughts.

Results-driven Director of Business Development with over 10 years of experience in B2B sales management and marketing in the global fashion and home textiles industries.
Thank you, Ella Gudwin, for inviting me to this beautiful NYC event (I'm in the back row of the group photo). It was fantastic meeting your colleagues, Erica DeKranes and Ramona Handel-Bajema, PhD. We must get together soon! We at GoodWeave International are proud to celebrate our collaborative achievements with VisionSpring. In partnership with VisionSpring India, GoodWeave Certification Pvt. Ltd. successfully organized eye check-up camps for weaving community workers. By August 2024, a total of 4,661 individuals received eye check-ups, and 2,261 were provided with glasses at nominal costs. The workers have expressed immense happiness and gratitude for this impactful initiative. #Thankyou
The power of #UNGA & #ClimateWeek wasn't in the big speeches—it was in the building of social impact on the sidelines with CLAI, by which we: 🤝 CONNECT with old friends and new, and introduce good people to each other 💡 LEARN about each other’s vision, insights, challenges and superpowers 🧭 ALIGN on priorities, new ideas and paths of mutual support 🌟 IMAGINE bright possible futures The VisionSpring crew did not do any declaring this week. But, we played with a lot of CLAI. With Panorama Global, and support from Skoll Foundation, we co-hosted a workshop on the new frontier of impact, a frontier that the social enterprise field – as doers, funders and allies – has arrived at together. We identified what makes this moment different from the past and the implications for bringing about larger-scale change and addressing the whole-of-problems into the future. Stay tuned! In partnership with Livelihood Impact Fund, Johnson & Johnson, and Warby Parker, we facilitated a discussion among funders considering vision correction as a high-impact investment in livelihoods, learning, road safety and well-being. The conversation centered on the evidence and research, and the potential to reframe eyeglasses as a tool -- an input, not an outcome -- for advancing the SDGs. This all spurred an imaginative brainstorm. With our friends at Warby Parker, we hosted an informal gathering of social change comrades in their Rockefeller Center store. There are a lot of fancy events in town. This was not that. But it was exactly what we hoped. It was a space full of connection, learning, imagination and a whole lot of heart. A special thank you to Hannah Reeve Kowalski and the Warby Store Team! Always up for vision puns…I try not to attend UNGA week with a myopic focus on eyeglasses. Dropping into sessions about climate, AI, and innovative finance gave me new points of focus out on the horizon. And, yes...I started the week with long hair and ended with short! #socialentrepreneurship #SDGs

We are excited to highlight the creative talent of Bobbi Fitzpatrick, winner of the Jacaranda Carpets & Rugs design competition, in collaboration with GoodWeave and KLC School of Design. Inspired by the dramatic Portuguese coastline, her designs come to life in the Minho Collection. Each rug is handmade from natural wool and botanic TENCEL™, showcasing organic form, artisan carving, and varying pile heights that create an eye-catching impact and sophisticated style. Stay tuned for the launch this October! 📸 Photos by Jacaranda Carpets & Rugs #GoodWeave #JacarandaCarpets #KLCSchoolOfDesign #MinhoCollection #EthicalCraftsmanship
