Special congratulations to Gorman & Company on today's Grand Opening of 'Centerline on Glendale' in the City of Glendale AZ, at 67th & Glendale Avenues. ADOH is proud to introduce 'Centerline' as the first affordable housing apartment community built in Arizona state history using State Housing Tax Credits! ADOH funded $40 million in Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, $20 million in State Housing Tax Credits, and $7.5 million in additional financing toward this affordable community with 368 new apartment homes for low-to-middle income Arizonans! This large-scale, 9-building project, with its hundreds of affordable rents, would not exist today with the AZ State Tax Credit program and demonstrates the great opportunity available to any Arizona housing developer to use State Tax Credits in moving forward creating new affordable housing when their federal housing tax credits aren't enough. 'Centerline' offers 1, 2, and 3-bedroom homes all with a full-size washer & dryer, patio/balcony, wood-like laminate floors, and ceiling fans throughout! Exquisite community amenities include a community room with catering kitchen, fitness center, computer lab, splash pad, playground, dog park, BBQ area with picnic tables, and covered parking. Thanks to Governor Katie Hobbs for attending today's Grand Opening of 'Centerline' and speaking about the this real-world example showcasing the importance of the State Tax Credit program. ADOH Assistant Deputy Keon Montgomery and several members of his housing Tax Credit Division also attended (see final photo).
