IF YOU COULD ONLY PICK ONE EXERCISE...WHAT WOULD IT BE? It's no secret that our go-to exercise around here is rucking, but did you know that Arnold Schwarzenegger would agree? In a recent article to members of Arnold's Pump Club, Arnold takes a deep dive into rucking, all of the benefits, and why it's the exercise that checks all the boxes. "If we told you that there was only one exercise you need to improve strength and endurance — while improving muscle gain and fat loss — would that be something you might be interested in? (Entourage fans, eat your heart out). Research suggests that rucking — or walking while carrying extra weight — might be the Swiss army knife of exercise because of its ability to help you achieve every fitness goal imaginable." - Arnold, Adam, and Daniel (The Pump). "Rucking sounds exotic, but it’s accessible to everyone – no gym membership needed, just a backpack with some added weight like full water bottles, groceries or dumbbell weights. Increase weight as you get stronger." If you're looking for a new workout to get into, rucking is it. It's simple, anyone can do it, and it requires very minimal equipment. All you need is a rucksack and some weight to get started (plus some good shoes too never hurt). Read more about rucking and why it's the health trend that's taking off right now in an article by Adventure at Sports Illustrated: https://lnkd.in/esHxiD4p #GORUCK #rucking

Rucking is gaining mass appeal. Scaling up, here's how GORUCK built the go-to pack, a loyal community, and a massive business. 💡The Idea Founder and CEO Jason McCarthy served in the U.S. Army Special Forces from ‘03-09. Stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq, he and his comrades carried “rucksacks”—weight-filled backpacks—for miles. After serving, he went to business school at Georgetown, where he sketched out an idea for a backpack designed to emulate the military “rucking” experience. From the start, the North Star was building a product his military buddies could be proud of. 🪨 Staying Grounded McCarthy took a cross-country trip to sell the concept, but no investors bit. He was undeterred. Reflecting on the “failure,” he says: “I learned early on the goal of business is not to go out and chase venture capital to feel important in investors’ eyes… The goal is to follow your path in life and have a mission you believe in.” 🎒Carrying On Regrouping, he took a more strategic approach to finding his target audience. Inspired by Tough Mudder events, GORUCK began hosting group endurance challenges — bringing together people who valued doing hard things. Since 2010, the brand has hosted >10K rucking events, growing via word of mouth and later adding training programs. ⚒️ Built to Last Building bonds and products for the long haul, the brand’s rucksacks have a lifetime guarantee. In the spirit of service and its mission to make rucking the new running, it promises “life or death quality standards” and donates 1% of revenue to support veterans. Putting quality first paid off, and the brand hit $46M in revenue last year. 📈 Still Climbing Riding momentum, GORUCK expanded into shoes, training vests, and apparel. In January it became Crossfit’s Official Apparel and Footwear Provider, signing Six-Time CrossFit Games Champion Tia-Clair Toomey — who chose the rising brand over NOBULL. With human connection as a multiplier, it’s just scratched the surface of its growth potential. But despite a massive addressable market, it’s still building with those who serve in mind. 📩 Subscribe to Fitt Insider for more health and fitness headlines — delivered every Tuesday. → https://lnkd.in/erFVbn5Z

Thanks to the American taxpayer, I went to the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business on the Post 9/11 GI Bill from 2009-11. The most influential class I took was taught at night by a former Lead International Hostage Negotiator for the FBI, Christopher Voss. I was drawn to his class because I figured there would be a common thread between us given that we had both served our country, and I was right. We've been friends for almost 15 years, long before he wrote Never Split the Difference (a 5 Star must read) or created a MasterClass on Negotiations, which is a must watch. He was GORUCK Cadre once, even, at an event that never happened -- a story for another day. Today at 12 noon EST, he's interviewing me, and he's one of the best interviewers on any planet. Anything is fair game, it's up to him. To tune in, here's the link to join: https://f.chat/6RMD We're going live at 12 noon EST. Join us for the conversation on Fireside. The Jacksonville based Seacoast Bank team rucked and ran our way across the finish line at the Seacoast Bank Celebration Run to kickoff a HOT Independence Day. Great job for another masterfully planned community race as usual @1st Place Sports Running. Sidenote, the story behind GORUCK is amazing and reflective of our strong military ties in Jacksonville! Thanks for making a great product that helps promote health and community.

We are so thankful for our partnership with GORUCK. We provided GORUCK participants with special WWII Fallen Hero Memorial Bibs. These photos were taken at Pointe du Hoc with a group of WW2 veterans. On June 6, 1944, U.S. Army Rangers climbed the 100-foot cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, destroyed a critical German battery, and took control of the coastal highway, playing a crucial role in the Allied success of D-Day. #DDAY #EveryDayIsMemorialDay #MemoriesofHonor GORUCK
