Things are moving and shaking in the #cpgindustry. Here's what's new this week: Hint Inc. is adding a new product line: sparkling water with electrolytes. The sparkling water is available in four flavors: peach raspberry, pink grapefruit, lime and tangerine, all containing zero calories. The new line will be available direct from the brand and also at Sprouts Farmers Market locations. Energy seltzer brand Hiball is returning to retail with a launch in Whole Foods Market stores this spring. Fromagerie Boursin SAS has unveiled its first new product innovation in four years, Boursin Crumbles. Available in two varieties – Garlic & Fine Herbs and Caramelized Onion & Herbs – the new offering is now available at retailers like Publix Super Markets, Albertsons, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Hannaford Supermarkets. Chobani is spending $500 million to expand production by 50% at its Twin Falls, Idaho, facility. The expansion is expected to add 500,000 square feet of space and create a minimum of 160 new jobs, according to the yogurt giant. Once completed, the expanded Twin Falls plant will span 1.6 million square feet and feature 24 production lines. Lifeway Foods, Inc. has unveiled its latest kefir flavor: Sakura Cherry Blossom, now available at retailers nationwide. CURE is hitting Whole Foods Market shelves across the country for the first time this month. The retailer will launch Cure’s Kids line, including Fruit Punch, Pink Lemonade, and Mixed Berry flavors.

What's going on in the #cpgindustry this week? In case you somehow missed it: PepsiCo is officially acquiring poppi for $1.95 billion. The deal includes $300 million of anticipated cash tax benefits, bringing the net purchase price to $1.65 billion. Animal-free dairy company New Culture has received a $5 million investment from pizza chefs and restaurant operators for its animal-free mozzarella. The first restaurant to serve New Culture’s plant-based mozzarella will be Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles. GoodSAM, PBC has raised $9 million in Series A funding led by ALIVE Ventures and Desert Bloom. The round brings the company’s total funds to $10.5 million, which it will use to expand its team, launch new product lines, and continue direct trade support for smallholder and indigenous farmers. Maazah has expanded its Middle Eastern inspired sauce portfolio with the launch of lentil dips. The plant-based dips are offered in four varieties including basil jalapeno, lemon tahini, roasted red pepper and turmeric ginger. Quest Nutrition is launching a line of protein milkshakes, featuring 45 grams of protein derived from ultrafiltered milk, 2 grams of sugar, and 4 grams or less of net carbs. Silver Spring Foods, Inc., a subsidiary of Huntsinger Farms Inc, is launching a signature sauce line featuring four flavors: honey chipotle aioli, garlic parmesan aioli, horseradish bistro aioli and hot honey chili sauce. Shaquille O’Neal just announced an investment in Beatbox Beverages, a brand of RTD cocktails known for their high alcohol content. Shaq also launched a new flavor with the brand, Blueberry Lemonade, containing 11.1% alcohol-by-volume.
