They have the vision, the passion, the groundbreaking ideas… but why do so many projects never succeed? Because bankability is Missing! At the last Graced Energy Professionals for Africa (GEPA) Leadership Workshop, we dissected a crucial truth: ♻️African project energy promoters need more than just ideas, they need a bankability mindset and framework. ♻️A project is only as strong as its ability to attract funding, sustain operations, and deliver long-term impact. That’s why the Brickstone Project Bankability Framework highlights three essential pillars: ✅ Predictable Cashflow: A project without financial structure is a ticking time bomb. ✅ Fixed Construction & Optimal Operations – Uncertainty in execution repels investors. ✅ Independent Governance & Sustainability – Strong governance = long-term success. If we want to bring Africa’s energy future to light, we must think beyond inspiration, We must think sustainability, We must think bankability! Food for thoughts: Do You Think we prioritizing the right things when building Africa’s energy solutions? It might Interest you to know that we have another powerful Leadership Workshop On The Way! 🎊🎊 One that is more powerful than the previous one, if you participated, you'll know the temperature.... You can imagine how the next will be! Join us today to stay updated👇 https://lnkd.in/dm4dtgEh #GEPA #Bankability #Leadership #EnergyAfrica #ProjectFinance #bankabilitymindset

  • Dangote Refinery may halt petrol supply to the Nigerian market due to unresolved issues surrounding the naira-for-crude oil exchange deal. This arrangement, initiated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, required local refiners to purchase crude oil in naira instead of dollars, aiming to stabilize foreign exchange reserves. During this period, the refinery sold Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Nigerian marketers in naira, aligning with its agreement with NNPC. With the deal set to expire this month, reports indicate that the refinery plans to halt the loading of petroleum products for the Nigerian market, as negotiations to renew the naira-for-crude arrangement have not made significant progress. NNPC's Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, confirmed ongoing negotiations for a new agreement with Dangote Petroleum Refinery, noting that the initial six-month contract is nearing its end. The Dangote Refinery, with a production capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, plays a crucial role in Nigeria’s quest for self-sufficiency in petroleum products. However, the unresolved naira-for-crude arrangement has created uncertainties regarding crude supply, potentially delaying full operations and limiting domestic petrol distribution. Analysts warn that Dangote’s reluctance to supply the Nigerian market could exacerbate fuel scarcity and increase dependence on imported refined products, undermining the country’s energy security. This development comes amid concerns of potential petrol price hikes, following reports that NNPC has halted its naira-for-crude deal with Dangote and other local refineries. What actions should be taken from here? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments. #energyupdate #gepafrica #Nigeriaenergysecurity #NNPC

  • Can Bacteria Really Generate Electricity? Sounds absurd, right? But science says yes! There’s a type of bacteria "Geobacter sulfurreducens" that can literally transfer electrons to metal surfaces. In simple terms, it means these tiny organisms can produce electricity. This could be a game-changer for places with limited access to electricity. Think about it: What if microbial fuel cells power homes, charge devices, and even support industries? Nature has always been ahead of us. Maybe it’s time we start paying more attention. What do you think? If bioelectricity is the future of energy, how do we utilize it? #GEPA #FutureOfEnergy #BioElectricity #SustainablePower #energythursday
