Congratulations to Julia Statsman, NP, for being recognized as June's Moment of the Month! A grateful patient shared this heartfelt story about Julia: "I visited Rapid Clinic with pregnancy complications and a history of miscarriage, feeling terrified. Julia was my provider, and she was wonderful! She proactively assured us they would run every test needed and get to the bottom of everything. Julia cared about our care, the outcome, and us as people. The relief was huge, but her genuine care made this scary situation a positive experience. Julia is a gem, and we will forever be grateful for her genuine care." Meet Tracy, one of our coding specialists, whom we're proud to spotlight for #MedicalCoderDay! With over fifteen years of dedication to Grand Itasca, Tracy brings an exceptional depth of knowledge in medical coding to our team. Tracy's journey into health care began as a switchboard operator and medical records specialist, roles that fueled her interest in the field. Her passion for health care led her to travel extensively for a health care facility and eventually return to school to become a medical coder through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) program. Tracy has coded for various areas for the past fifteen years, including the Clinic, emergency room, and infusion services. She handles an immense workload while maintaining a high caliber of coding. Her pride and dedication have led to several opportunities to improve our reimbursement processes. Tracy has experienced the shift from paper charts and charge tickets to fully electronic records, along with the transition from ICD-9 to the more comprehensive ICD-10, which significantly expanded the code sets. These codes offer a detailed overview of a patient's visit, shedding light on the reasons for their consultation and the severity of their condition, which is crucial for insurance claims and data analysis. Thank you to all our medical coders for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence in medical coding! Ready to join Tracy and our team of dedicated professionals?
