Please be advised that there are two recent reports of fraud pertaining to the following: - Electrical Company Scam: Scammers are impersonating electrical company employees and calling without prior notification, demanding immediate payment to avoid shut off. - Antivirus Scam: Scammers are impersonating employees from software companies. Scammers convince the victim that there is a virus on their computer or laptop, and the victim allows full access to the scammer. If someone calls, especially with an urgent matter that requires personal information, please hang up and call the company back using the number listed on their website or from a reliable source. Company numbers can be spoofed, which allows hackers to impersonate businesses.
