Yesterday’s all-employee meeting was a powerful reminder of the incredible impact our organization is making to enrich and nourish the lives of our employees, organization, and our community. We’re excited about our commitment to help 50,000 individuals find stable housing over the next five years, a goal that truly reflects our commitment to driving positive change for those around us. A huge thank you to our keynote speaker, Christiane Gigi Hyland for her inspiring words, which emphasized that we are more than just a financial institution - we are a force for change. Special thanks to Laura Mitchell, Executive Director of the Maine Affordable Housing Coalition and Ryan Pope, Assistant City Planner for Dover, NH, for sharing their valuable insights around affordable housing in our community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated as we continue on this meaningful journey together.

Some of our team members recently volunteered at the Cross Roads House Block Party! It was an honor to support the event by cooking, serving, making cotton candy, and assisting throughout the day. The event was a wonderful success, filled with delicious food and great company. A special thanks to the incredible Cross Roads House team for organizing such a memorable afternoon. We are proud to partner with and support their mission of providing essential shelter and services to our community.

What an incredible day at the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation's inaugural Nourish Network Golf Classic! Together, we raised over $133,000 to support critical needs in our community, including access to housing, eliminating food insecurity, and ensuring quality education for all, and we’d like to congratulate our first-place team from Lee & Mason! Our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers illuminated the way for a brighter future and are making a real difference for those who need it most, specifically for our four non-profit partners, Southeast NH Habitat for Humanity, Mainspring: The Seacoast Social Services Collective, SEEDS OF HOPE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER, and I Got Bridged. As we wrap up our 2024 Nice Catch Program, we’d like to extend a big thank you to all of our nominees, winners, and the Portland Sea Dogs for helping us recognize our Kind Kid winners and the positive impact they’ve made. We continue to look for ways to drive meaningful impact in our community. Recently our Foundation supported Seacoast Area Bicycle Riders’ (SABR) mission of building a united cycling community by ensuring equitable access to bicycles for people in need of reliable transportation. Pictured are some of our team members celebrating SABR's 100th bike donation for their Seacoast Pedal It Forward program. Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation is proud to support this growing initiative that has donated over 100 bicycles to community partners like Cross Roads House, I Got Bridged, and Lydia's House of Hope.
