  • GLCAC is pleased to recognize Jadihel Taveras during Hispanic Heritage Month. Jadihel is the Head of School at Esperanza Academy in Lawrence. Growing up with parents born in the Dominican Republic, Jadihel came to understand that opportunities in this world are not distributed equally. His family’s story taught him the power of perseverance and the importance of community, and it ignited in him a passion to contribute to creating opportunities for those who have been born into communities that are historically underserved. He believes that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, and always wanted to play a part in opening doors for others, in whatever small way he could.
