  • Today, our CEO Eric Wobser had the pleasure of leading students from Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic High School on a tour of downtown Sandusky. There’s no better way to instill pride and a sense of place in our young people than by showing them the heartbeat of their community. From learning about local businesses to seeing public art and historic sites, we hope these students came away inspired by the rich stories and opportunities right here at home. Our future leaders start with moments like these—moments that spark a lifelong connection to the Greater Sandusky area. Thank you to Sandusky St. Mary’s for helping us nurture a love for community and a vision for a vibrant future! #FutureLeaders

  • We’re thrilled to see the completion of the stunning new mural on the Shores & Islands Ohio building. Projects like these go beyond beautification—they transform our community into a place where people want to gather, live, and experience all that Sandusky has to offer. This mural, brought to life by the incredible talents of local artist Derek Brennan and Chad Fedorovich from Cleveland Mural, adds a vibrant touch to the cityscape. It’s a visual representation of the creativity, culture, and energy we’re proud of in the Greater Sandusky Bay Region. Thank you to the City of Sandusky Arts Commission and Shores & Islands Ohio for championing this vision and enhancing the vitality of our downtown. Let’s continue to celebrate art that makes us feel proud of where we call home.

  • On November 5, Erie County voters have a unique chance to make a meaningful impact by voting "YES" on Issue 31, renewing essential funding for the Erie County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board. This levy renewal, with no increase in taxes, ensures the continuation of vital services that support thousands across our community each year. At Greater Sandusky Partnership, we fully support Issue 31 as a commitment to the well-being of our entire community. Strong mental health support services have a direct, positive effect on workforce stability and productivity, helping employees and their families stay resilient and engaged. This access to support leads to healthier, more stable lives and strengthens our local businesses by reducing turnover, absenteeism, and healthcare costs. • At the start of October, we hosted our first annual meeting as a fully integrated organization. At the meeting, we shared our vision for the future of the organization as well as the region. Part of that vision includes the collaboration of many to make it successful. That's why one of the awards given at our annual event was the Regional Collaboration Award. This award recognizes those who value the region as a strategic location and who have collaborated across lines to ensure the success of the region. The federal RAISE grant, awarded in 2022, for improvements along Route 6 and the expansion of the Sandusky Bay Pathway is an incredible example of transformational collaboration. This award was given to Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, Erie County, the City of Huron - Government, the City of Sandusky and the Ohio Department of Transportation for their instrumental efforts in securing the $24.5 million grant. Learn more about this collaboration in this video produced by Dead Shark Productions >>> https://lnkd.in/e6Au3Ftn
