Let's make new magnets🧲 ...   In #GREENE, partners will re-engineer #NdFeB based magnets at the single grain level to maximise performance and minimise overall Rare Earth content. To achieve this, Nd-Fe-B powders will be processed to novel Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets with recreated grain boundaries. These powders are highly sensitive and need to be handled in a protected atmosphere to avoid any damage or hazards, which is why knowledge exchange on handling techniques between partners is paramount.
