The Greening Youth Foundation, in collaboration with the National Park Service, presents an exclusive opportunity to work as a full-time Interpretation Intern at the renowned Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park. Position: Interpretation Intern – Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park
Location: Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park, Richmond, CA
Duration: 36 weeks
Compensation: $19/hour, Full-time (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
- Learn about the history and features of the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park.
- Greet visitors at the Visitor Center and provide accurate information.
- Perform operational duties.
- Research and present public interpretive programs.
- Assist with special programs and offsite events.
- Answer questions in person and on the phone.
- Help park rangers lead school groups for educational programs.

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a two-part criminal history check.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred:
- Pursuing or holding a degree in fields such as outdoor education or youth leadership, knowledge of the National Park Service, bilingual abilities (Spanish and Mandarin), and a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, hiking, carrying, talking, listening, and hearing.
- Manual dexterity for using office equipment.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and crouch.
- Hiking on uneven terrain in various weather conditions.
