EVERYONE (nearly everyone) NEEDS INCOME. There, I said it.. Recently, and frequently in our conversations with individuals in passive or active transition, they are almost apologetically mentioning that they really need compensation- single parenthood, supporting parents, children in college, whatever. Usually its women who are the ones who mention this as something they should be sorry about. STOP IMMEDIATELY, please. Whether you are supporting philanthropic endeavors, saving for your future, thinking about your economic needs, its completely understandable. We admire that drive for independence and the dignity of supporting yourself and/or your family. We want individuals to make great choices around their professional engagement- however thinking about a composite of work that can lead you to satisfaction and balancing it with the compensation you have earned and deserve is awesome. Corollary: young adults who are seeking summer jobs, internships, or your first job out of college: tell anyone who will listen People want to help other people. It wont happen by magic. You deserve to get paid for your work and when you get that opportunity, make the person who gave you the chance proud. You've got this! Recently, an HR Executive gave an entry level role to a young Northwestern University grad- a little nudge to the hiring manager. I know this young person will be the hardest working- she just needed her first door opened. Someone helped me once- I've never forgotten it. My friends, your Dad is somewhere in heaven and smiling and I remain deeply grateful.

As 2023 came to an end and we at Group 360 had a week to let this settle in, we couldn't help but think how appreciative we are of our clients and the work that we do. We wanted to share the results of our 2023 year end Client Services survey. Continuing the trend of the last two years, our clients recognized the efforts our teams put into client satisfaction and we want to thank everyone who participated. The team at Group 360 are so thankful for our client partners and the results below show a brief summary of why we are so grateful. · 4.94/5.0 when asked to rate their overall level of satisfaction with the Career Transition Services provided by Group 360 · 71% of respondents said the services provided by Group 360 exceeded their expectations; 29% said that it met their expectations. There were no ratings by clients below this! · 100% of respondents would recommend Group 360's services to other organizations When asked what aspects of Group 360's services have been most helpful: o Personalized support to our employees has been a strength. The 360 team is always available and willing to provide information or perspective on how our employees are doing in the placement process. o The responsiveness, the tools and equipment shared with our exiting employees, and the empathy that is shared by Group 360. o Group 360's high-touch care for our transitioning staff members has been the most helpful. We have received positive feedback from former staff regarding the responsiveness and proper guidance during their transition. o Proactive thinking and a can do mentality.

60 years ago, these two married. My parents. They were introduced in an arranged marriage-the heiress to an industrialist, patrician, Pakistani family, youngest daughter of 10 siblings, and a young man from a poor Burmese family who had survived two civil wars and was a scholarship student at Northwestern. He had been the national high scorer on the standardized university admissions exams. Two individuals least likely to be happy together and yet my maternal grandfather agreed that his beloved baby girl needed to be betrothed. He was getting old and there was family and societal pressure. Her days of riding her beloved Raleigh bike, imported from London, around Lahore would soon be over. My grandfather asked only one thing: his daughter was never to leave Lahore after marriage. During this season of Thanksgiving, I pray for peace and dignity for all people and appreciate my parents.
