    Evolving market dynamics have made content much more valuable in recent years. B2B buyer behavior has changed drastically. Today's B2B buyers are more self-sufficient, preferring to do their own research before engaging with sales. That means that much of the buying journey happens long before a sales rep ever gets involved. And THAT means content is now the main way to build trust and guide prospects, even for enterprise deals. Social media posts, videos, articles — content is no longer just for conversion or just for awareness — they can directly influence large transactions. Marketing departments are being asked to function essentially as media companies, producing huge volumes of excellent content for a wide range of purposes, from top-of-funnel to sales enablement to customer education to new-hire training and everything in between. So, it can be helpful to think of a marketing department as a media company because it provides a different lens when considering what resources, tools, and workflows the marketing team needs in order to hit its goals. If you're going to ask your marketing team to deliver content output comparable to what a media company would distribute, then you need to equip your marketing team the same way, or you aren't doing your job as a leader. #MarketingStrategy #B2BBuying #MediaCompanyMindset
