🌟 We rocked G.I.R.L. Fest at Westchester Regional Library with our amazing Girl Scouts and Miami-Dade Public Library System. They hung out with Daniella Levine Cava for County Mayor, got hands-on with STEM activities and crafts, and even got the chance to earn their Library Patch! Huge shoutout to our guest speaker, Dr. Barbara Bell from AstraFemina, our program partners who set up tables, all the troops who set up their booths, and Zelys Cupcakes for the delicious coral cookies! Congratulations to GSTF board member, Aslynn Rivera-Tigera, for being honored as one of 25 Most Influential Women in Business by the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Miami-Dade!
Today, we’re shining a light on Aslynn Rivera-Tigera, Market Development Manager for Florida Blue, (BCBS) of South Florida. As a proud Hispanic woman, she finds deep fulfillment in being active in her community, where she can celebrate and uplift her heritage while giving back. Balancing her professional role as a leader with motherhood, raising two incredible kids, is her most cherished responsibility. She hopes to inspire them to honor their roots and make a lasting impact. Aslynn is also actively involved on the boards and committed for several organizations such as, South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Women of Impact 2024 for the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross Gala Committee, and the Amigos for Kids Host Committee. #hispanicheritage #changemakers #impact #floridablue

Camp Mahachee was recently awarded the Garden of Honor by the Florida National Native Plant Society! Thank you to the the City of Coral Gables, the Coral Gables Garden Club, Coral Gables Community Foundation, Miami-Dade County's Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program and the countless Girl Scouts and community members who helped support our front entrance restoration. We are honored to be recognized for our efforts to preserve this 76-year-old hardwood hammock and are excited to continue this work through the 2024-2025 Girl Scout year!
