The third and fourth phases of The Links on PGA Parkway luxury apartments are moving forward! GSR Andrade Architects is proud to lead the design of these new phases. Situated at PGA Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway junction, the community is growing with 620 more units due to the surrounding growth, including the PGA of America headquarters and Omni PGA Frisco Resort. With features like clubhouses, fitness centers, roof terraces, and pools, we're thrilled to be part of The Links' expansion in this area. We were honored to attend the 25th Annual Preservation Achievement Awards Ceremony and accept the Preservation Achievement Award for our work on the DeGolyer Estate at the Dallas Arboretum. This honor highlights our dedication to preserving the Dallas community. Thank you to everyone involved! 👏

Last Friday, we broke ground on an exciting project to revitalize the Rail District in Frisco, TX. "Every world-class city has a great downtown," said Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney. The City of Frisco plans to reconstruct Main Street and construct an event plaza along with a multistory parking garage. We've teamed up with MESA Design Group to design the pavilion, which will feature a gorgeous stage, public restrooms, and beautiful landscaping. This event space will refresh the downtown area and attract new patrons. All projects are scheduled to be completed by summer 2026. We can’t wait to see the results! We are honored to share that the DeGolyer Estate in the Dallas Arboretum has been recognized with a Preservation Achievement Award from Preservation Dallas. This award celebrates the efforts of our clients, team and partners to preserve and improve this historic landmark. The project required meticulous attention to the original design, materials, and craftsmanship of the house, as well as innovative solutions to accommodate the needs of the Dallas Arboretum and its visitors. We are grateful to Preservation Dallas for this distinction and commend all the other award recipients. A short history of the house, now museum. In 1936, Everett DeGolyer, a world-renowned petroleum geologist and rare book collector, wife Nell and their four children moved to Dallas, hiring California architects Denman Scott and Burton Schutt to design their home (named Rancho Encinal) overlooking White Rock Lake. Exhibiting outstanding features of the Spanish Colonial Revival style, the house was begun in 1938 and completed in 1940. Noted landscape architect Arthur Berger planned the estate’s grounds to complement its natural surroundings. An important addition to Texas' architectural history, the rambling one-story house is evocative of a Mexican hacienda and noted for its picturesque massing and fine craftsmanship. Following the DeGolyers' deaths, the DeGolyer Foundation donated the house, grounds, and library to Southern Methodist University. The University retained the library, and the City of Dallas purchased the house and grounds in 1975 to become the Dallas Arboretum. It became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1992, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house is now a museum and restaurant in support of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society.
