The G&Z S400: Compact Slipform Paver is designed to carry on the top performance of the G&Z brand, while adding even greater value for the customer. The S400 is an entry level, single/dual lane paver with the ability to perform versatile applications including: city streets, ramps, shoulders, highway, airport, dual lane, off-set, zero or minimum clearance and barrier walls. “The S400 is a slipform paver that does not confuse ‘entry-size’ with ‘entry-quality’. G&Z’s patented mechanical Dowel Bar Inserter attachment accurately inserts dowels in plastic concrete behind the slipform paver confining pan. G&Z’s unique combination of DBI confining pan, trailing sideforms and vibrating insertion forks help insure good consolidation and homogeneous concrete around the inserted dowel bars. The MP550’s 35’ (10.66 m) long Swing Conveyor, which can hydraulically pivot 170 degrees, is designed with a hinge point near the tail pulley for ease of clearing stringline, temporary concrete barrier walls, and other jobsite obstructions while minimizing the material discharge height. #guntertandzimmerman

The SmartLeg system in tandem with AccuSteer allows the swing leg angle to be adjusted on-the-fly to maneuver around an obstacle while automatically keeping the crawler track straight ahead.
