About us

H2ELIOS (i.e. HydrogEn Lightweight & Innovative tank for zerO-emisSion) is an EU-funded project, under the Clean Aviation research program. The H2ELIOS project is an ambitious research and development program focused on the development of hydrogen storage tanks for aviation use. Hydrogen-powered aircraft emit only water vapor and are seen as a promising solution to the problem of increasing CO2 emissions from aviation. Our goal is to reduce emissions and minimize the environmental impact of the aviation industry by developing a lightweight and cost-effective solution for storing hydrogen in its liquid state. The project is supported by the Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking and its members. Funded by the European Union, under Grant Agreement No. 101102003. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking.
