Just in time for back-to-school, we would like to share archivist favorites from HQBCA’s collections! These images of Maxfield Elementary School, taken between 1954 to 1956--just before the school was torn down to make way for interstate highway 94. When I first moved to Minnesota, I worked at Maxfield Elementary as an AmeriCorps member--everything comes full circle! Funding for cataloging and digitization of these items was generously provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
