Excited to see Hannah Grey VC portfolio co glystn Ethan Fassett breaking out as a thought leader around AI driven insights and social monitoring. Maintaining alignment between your brand values and creator partners is crucial - yet increasingly challenging to manage at scale, particularly given the cultural instability. Great feature in Forbes in the link below : "Another powerful resource are comments on social posts. Ethan Fasset, CEO/Cofounder of Glystn, an AI-driven community engagement engine, believes “comments are an untapped goldmine of insights in creator marketing.” Traditional analysis methods often overlook the valuable information buried in hundreds of thousands of comments across multiple social platforms. Glystn’s proprietary AI makes these comments addressable as a marketing tool, allowing brands to quantify the most and least popular topics of conversation, identify the most engaged audience members, and measure the overall impact of content choices. Understanding what consumers and audiences actually value helps brands and creators optimize content and make more informed decisions about future campaigns.Fasset explains, “The activity in the comments section represents the most engaged and vocal users. With Glystn’s AI, brands can objectively quantify these conversations and understand what actions to take based on community feedback. For instance, tech creator Marques Brownlee (MKBHD), a highly successful YouTube tech creator with more than 20 million subscribers, uses Glystn to capture specific feedback on what his audience likes and dislikes which ultimately helps him craft better content. This level of insight is now available to brands, allowing them to see detailed themes and discussions within their target communities.” #founders #ai #social #tech

    Industrial-Strength Intelligent Autonomous Agents

Have you ever met a person who was "all talk?" They always have a lot to say, but not much value gets delivered, so it's hard to take them seriously. Most #ai #agents are all talk. Large Language Models (#llm) output the statistical arrangement of letters. This is not a legitimate way to make trustworthy decisions, especially in an enterprise. 💬 But, these models can provide superpowers for interfacing with agents in natural language. ⚠ I've seen a lot of "architectures" for agents that are really technical diagrams for how the code for various LLM systems work. Instead, I here's an architecture that combines the power of LLM with trustworthy decision-making methods for industrial-strength agents. Imagine an agent that controls a chemical manufacturing plant: 👁️🗨️ Sensors: Information comes into the agent from sensors. ✅ Decisions: The agent outputs actions to take. 👁 Perception Layer: Embed #machinelearning models to add senses to your agent. These are the hexagons. Now, your agent can see, hear, predict, cluster, and classify. 🧠 Decision Layer: This is where the action is. Each of the rectangles is a skill that is part of the decision-making process (imagine landing a plane vs. takeoff). Skills can be arranged in hierarchies and sequences. Assistants: These are #generativeai models that humans interact with in natural language and that research, analyze, and synthesize agent behavior. The possibilities are endless, but here's a few examples. 👩💼 Meet the Executive: This assistant reads data sources outside the sensor space (like news, twitter, weather, etc) and makes strategy recommendations that affect agent operation, passing direction to the decision layer. 👷♂️ Meet the Plant Manager: This assistant takes direction from humans (things like "the equipment is running too hot") during agent training or operation and translates this direction to numerical and categorical values that the decision layer can understand. 👨💻 Meet the Data Scientist: Like a human data scientist, this assistant creates machine learning models for the agent and generates data charts. 👨💼 Meet the Analyst: This assistant explains what the agent is doing. Humans can chat with the analyst to interrogate agent behavior and the analysis will explain why the agent is taking certain actions. Exciting collaboration between Hannah Grey portfolio company Wave and mpathic around eliminating racial bias from healthcare LLMs - the future of care will be more accessible, and inclusive. Congrats Sarah Adler, PsyD and team on the milestone!

View profile for Sarah Adler, PsyD, graphic

Founder, CEO Wave / Clinical Psychologist 🧠

Wave is incredibly excited to be partnered with mpathic to help eliminate racial bias from healthcare LLMs through the award of an NIH SBIR grant led by the incredible Alison Cerezo and their team at mpathic. Racial and ethnic minorities have higher rates of mental illness and are less likely to be able to access high-quality care. There are huge numbers of GenAI products flooding the market to help increase access that tare trained on models that aren't reliably attuned to those who are most in need of care. This could do more harm than good. mpathic, led by CEO Grin Lord is the first company to build conversation analytics to detect and correct cultural attunement, to be used in both technological and human interactions. Wave is thrilled to be helping to power the training of these models with our anonymized user data. “There are ways that people are developing apps off the cuff, which can be dangerous and scary,” Alison Cerezo said. “That is why we were incredibly careful to choose Wave as our data partner, because Sarah Adler, PsyD's built a really wonderful company. Sarah's a licensed clinical psychologist. I am as well. We understand on the clinical front the barriers that prevent providers from being able to deliver quality care, but also barriers of the system itself. So this is one of our ways of being able to integrate into systems to ensure that AI can do good by providers and good by patients.” “As a potential future customer of this product that we are working together to build, I would say that is a little bit of a chicken-and-egg situation," Adler added. "They're partnering with us because they understand the robust clinical quality of our service delivery model; we will then ultimately want to partner with them because their data is actually built on a robust clinical model. So we are investing in building something that will eventually help us leap forward into the future in terms of using generative AI, which is very much within our roadmap, but ensuring that we're using a product like an mpathic product, which has the robust clinical validity that underlies the modeling.” Thanks to David Raths and Healthcare Innovation for the coverage. https://lnkd.in/g5QpvE6y Alison Pickover Kristina Kroot, MBA Tali Beesley #culturalattunment #mentalhealthishealth #genAI

Spatial computing is imminent. But where will haptic confirms come from? Afference, Inc., is enabling touch via neural stimulation. What happens when virtual sensations become indistinguishable from physical ones and our shared perceptual certainty further cracks? My latest report with Hannah Grey VC examines the future implications of (necessary) haptic feedback amidst the blurring of physical and virtual worlds, and the critical role Afference, Inc., a Hannah Grey investment, is playing. Feeling Invisible Worlds: Spatial Computing, Haptics & A Future of Perception is the latest in our Hannah Grey collaborative series of articles with Matt Klein and ZINE, exploring the future of what it means to be human in a world of constant change. Our dependence on smartphones has birthed an recent wave of societal pushback that is manifesting in a myriad of interesting ways: on the analog front, an explosion of members clubs, many attempts at establishing a new wave of 3rd places, Gen Z reading clubs, chess clubs, run clubs (which double as IRL dating apps for some), birding clubs, etc. On the digital front, energy and investment in new form factors and advancements in spatial computing, which will continue to see headsets miniaturize over time. It’s possible that the future of how we interact with each other will be both more human, and more digital at the same time. This next generation of hardware needs to feel more human and more authentically connected to the real world: to raise the bar for creativity, productivity, and things that we haven’t yet imagined are possible with AI and spatial computing. To that end, Afference, Inc., a new Hannah Grey investment, is profiled in the article as a company that is addressing this head-on by enabling touch for the spatial computing era via haptic feedback based on decades of research from neuroscientists and neural engineers. Afference’s Phantom glove creates neural stimulation that creates artificial touch, to be able to literally feel digital objects, while preserving the freedom to interact seamlessly with both digital and physical worlds. Our ability to harness the potential of spatial computing and ensure that this future computing paradigm is one that does not contradict our humanity is explored at length in the article, linked below:
