Harman is well-known as a scientific pioneer in predicting the subjective impression of audio systems based on objective, measurable quantities, showing that we can reliably infer how different HiFi loudspeakers will be rated by listeners. Today, Harman's scientists have broadened the scope of research and made similarly pioneering progress on predicting a broad range of human sensations and mental states, such as stress and fatigue, based on objective measurements. In a new article in Nature Scientific Reports, Harman scientists show how it is possible to differentiate between different levels of cognitive load during driving. The result of this research is the basis for a safer in-car experience, but also for truly human-centric, intelligent cockpit systems. Kudos to the amazing team behind this ground-breaking research!
