Data security is the number 1 thing holding up AI Adoption, yet existing data protection tools simply can’t meet the challenge. We’ve been stuck in a cycle of the same strategies without meaningful progress. The options have been:  1. Go label your data  2. Create a bunch of complex rules to try to regex match on PII  3. Block the end user But the labelling is just too difficult. Rules are too noisy. And users will always find a way around if blocked.  Security teams are overwhelmed. And sensitive data still manages to leak out to our businesses. At Harmonic Security we think it’s time to rethink data protection. Get rid of the false positives. And rather than make it the security team’s problem, interact with end users directly to coach and nudge them at the point of data loss. Help them achieve their business goals that GenAI promises - without putting the business at risk. In this video, I share more on this new approach our team is building.

The barriers to entry for adopting GenAI in the enterprise are getting even lower – especially for Google customers. A new announcement from Google Workspace will extend Gemini benefits to millions of enterprise users by the end of 2024. Many organizations I speak to have been kicking the can on GenAI adoption or have been blocking access to users. If your organization hasn’t yet implemented an AI Usage Policy and appropriate controls, now is the time as things are evolving rapidly. Gartner Cool Vendors research is an opportunity for analysts to highlight vendors they find "Cool". Cool Vendors provide Innovative, Impactful, and Intriguing products to their clients, and the choice to highlight just a handful each year is quite difficult. However, my colleagues and I have done just this. We've put together a short note for Gartner clients, identifying FIVE data security vendors that we believe are "Cool" and provide Innovative, Impactful, and Intriguing products for their clients.
